Has anyone provided you with an explaination of why you have the pain and head-aches? I also am not a fan of chiropractors. I believe thay do provide short-term relief and almost a dependent relationship. I would rather one finds a long term solution and life without pain. I wouldn't get too frustrated about the weight thing as I am sure you look great the way you are and whatever adjustments to your weight that you want to make will be handled easily once the pain is resolved. Can the pain be resolved?
YEAH!! that exciting.. I cant wait to get there!! I have heard about women having a stroke after your neck is maunually adjusted...my chiropractor only did one maunual adjustments on my neck.. after a deep massage, he only uses the little pop gun thing. I am positive he is a good chiropractor and knows he stuff.. its me that has always been weird. Yu know how people will say, oh try this I have had amazing results and swear by it but I will have the opposite effect..lol I have always been strange that way. if things can go wrong it does for me.. Im that 1% of people that things just happen too .. hahah!!
Kim try this. Get a six inch rubber ball or a foam roller and roll it behind your head until you are on the bony part at the back of your skull. Once to feel you are on the tenderpoints turn your head slowly side to side stay there until you feel it relax more about 30-1:00 minute.turn your head side to side about 10 times. It is a release for most of the neck muscles as it is insertion for the muscle on most of neck muscle. I do it all the time. No need for the chiropactor. Do it for about 5 minutes a day to release and relax the neck and shoulders. Do it and warch tV, it is very relaxing.
Deb Getting back to your idea of covering yourself in chocolate and Jeff in peanut butter for Halloween. I would just like to remind you that some of us (and in particular, me) have been dieting HARD for 6 months. The diet will offically end on October 30th so seeing you cover in chocolate on the 31st may not be advisable. Although it could be a life altering experience for you, me licking the peanut butter off Jeff coud be a little awkward - just saying. Jim
Also, as Cheryl points out (who has been dieting with me for the past 6 months), although we are not swinger. You covered in chocolate and Jeff in peanut butter at Temptations........well.......I think might be more than we could resist. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Actually went to the gym yesterday... Was able to do about 10 mins on the elliptical with no pain, then did some torso & tricep exercises, then a bunch of calf stretches to help my feet, then another 7 mins on the elliptical forward, and 4 mins backwards... I started to feel a LITTLE foot pain so I stopped... But today I'm still feeling good so I'm going back again after work. Also weighed myself at the gym yesterday, and I haven't gained a pound since before TTR which SHOCKED me since I haven't been eating great and haven't been exercising AT ALL...
I know exactly what you are talking about and I have a special roller for just this.. I love it and it does help. this was just a flare up I think.. its is a lot better today. TG
good question.. I have no medical reason for my headaches other than tention.. I keep saying its the way I carry my stress, I tense up and send it right to my neck but.. I never knew that until I went to the chirpractor and realized that I did that.. so I have been working on relaxing and keeping my shoulders down and back..(posture) I am close to no pain today but workout is tomorrow.. lol when I lift weights I send the tention right to my neck .. my trainer says once I build up the back and neck it should be much better.. is that true?? IDK..lol I have to learn how to lift weights with my arms and back not my neck.. if that makes sense.. lol
