Goal: -15lbs To date: -8lbs Days Remaining: 33 So after a couple days of feeling run down and achy knees, I decided to take my first unplanned day off from working out - I felt so guilty for doing this you would have thought I cheated on my wife. Anyway, woke up this morning with a cold but actually feeling better. The knees are mending and I don't think the cold will last long. I believe I am going to take today off as well and should be good as new by tomorrow. Thankfully, my weight seems to be moving again after 3 days of nothing.
I sooo need to get back to the gym... I'm going to attempt to finally get my fatass back there this afternoon... I have feet problems so I can't do any major cardio with my legs... Sometimes I can do the bike... i'm going to attempt some time on a cross trainer or elliptical this afternoon to see if it helps having less impact... My goal is -30 lbs by April 2013 (Next TTR trip)
well I am unable to workout today.. my neck is killing me.. went back to the chiropractor yesterday and well, he just doesn't know whats going on and my weight is up for no reason at all.. this is where I start to be very frustrated.. I may have to switch my diet. and will have to cut more carbs I'm thinking. this is the weight that my body fights to stay. sooo dame frustrated!!!!
I find the elliptical is easier on my knees, so maybe it will be easier on the feet as well. It can really provide a decent work-out. Good luck to you. Showing off your new bod at TTR can be good motivation.
Not to mention the fact that I wouldn't mind a little more "endurance" for the wife.. I hope it does make it easy on my feet as I need to find my "niche"... Yoga on the Wii was working, and I tried Wii zumba once to try and kill two birds with one stone (I have the rhythm of a rock), and it wasn't bad, but it was bothering my feet after about 5-7 minutes...
Ah Partydollgirl this sucks, I know lots of people swear by the chiropractor but have you consider therapeutic massage, though it does take more time it can help... And from what I've heard it isn't a great idea for women to have their necks adjusted by a chiropractor. Don't sweat the weight thing we both know one day its up and a couple days later its down. Jeff and I are trying the cabbage soup diet.. gotta say the soup is great.. just having a hard time keeping my hands off the wine... gotta stop that :deadhorse:..the wine is my weakness.
yeah I know Deb, the weight thing is up and down.. my chiropractor is a man of many talants.. lol he does a combination of treatments, I have done the chiro thing and the therapeutic massage (VERY DEEP MUSCLE MASSAGE) and hurts like a bastard.. lol and acupuncture on my neck (which helped the headaches a lot) but still weird things happening..I started this whole thing for headaches while they are mostly gone..I really think that my back was ceased for a reason.. like protecting my neck???.. lol people keep telling me to hang in there and it gets better but if I had to choose the headaches or a painful back and neck I'd take the headaches.. I am about at the point of stopping the chiropractor stuff.. and telling my personal trainer to back off on the correcting my posture..so, I dont have perfect posture and dont have perfect form lifting weights.. BIG DEAL!! does anyone have perfect posture at my age?? besides my trainer.. haha!! anyways I am venting a bit but this has become very annoying to me..:icon_biggrin:
I'm not a huge fan of chiropractors... I used to go to one years ago... My main issue is it seems like things were great while I was still going, but when I stopped, the pains would return...
I know the massages can hurt like hell, when I was going I thought at times I was going to throw up they hurt so much, but tell them to go easy at first and next time go harder.. ask for a relaxing massage the first couple times and then go for the deep tissue, I do believe that when the muscles are relaxed it allows the rest of the body to go back into the right places. The other thing about massage and I can't stress this enough after the massage drink as much water as you can, after the massage alot of toxins are released into the body and you need to flush that out. I've heard many people say that after a deep tissue massage they got sick, strep throat, colds etc. its because they didn't drink water. I can imagine your pain and I'm sure we all understand your frustration.. so you go ahead and vent... your allowed to do that here...LOL oh and ps... I'm super excited today we got our e-documents... yeah baby!!!!
My ex husbands wife's chiropractor caused her unrepairable damage to her neck, and yes she sued. I've heard to many stories about women having their necks adjusted and then having a stroke.. I would never allow a chiropractor to touch my neck... anywhere but the neck.
