Steve's numbers are based on fact's from the location of each member going to TTR, however when you get there and hear Sarah69 asking who's from Canada, USA, UK, when you hear more Canadians making noise its only cause the American's are pretending to be Canadain, you can spot them out a mile away as they use the term "EH" wayyy to much lol
I've no idea how it works, but it has, or maybe had, something to do with the flight + hotel packages that the folks from the U.K. got, in their case. Example: Our friends from The Midlands, G&D got to go to BBG for TWO WEEKS and they paid less, including their flights, than Stacia & I did for a 6-day trip, with our much shorter, and "presumably" cheaper, flight costs. I don't understand it, but it was true. Then, there seem to be a ton of Canadians picking up that Alpha Rooms special thing, and there was some flight specials, maybe? I don't really know. Maybe just a coincidence.
Possibly some holiday company "last minutes" deals? I was checking charter flight options and it looks like Thomson and Thomas Cook are doing package deals - 2 weeks works only about £100-£200 more than 1 week and in some cases there was no difference in the price of a week or 2 week holiday! But as we are moving around the coast staying in different places we opted for regular airlines and direct booking with the hotel. It wasn't cheap lol! To get the best deal on the flight we have 2 connections (but very short stopovers) and about 18h travel time... It's impossible to fly directly anywhere exotic from Dublin anyway...
Found the same for us. We could only really afford 1 week due to holiday time left for end of the year, but with the £200 difference for a whole other week just couldn't not take that up and have worked very hard to fit it in!
I agree....I don't understand it either. Just when we think we've gotten the best price we possible could for TTR....it always seems like everyone else (outside the US) goes for much cheaper. Not to mention because they get such great prices, they can stay soooooooo much longer. Anybody else from the US agree? or compared prices? OR better yet, got really good deals?
We have always been told that from the people we meet. Been going over 10 years and here it everytime, 2 weeks for the price of our 1.....................
