Just booked up with 2 mates for 11 nights on the 13th march. Just wondering has anyone stayed at the dos playas hotel?
The reviews are mainly good but didn't know what it would be like during spring break?

I stayed there many years ago, and I am assuming it hasn't changed much. Great location, but aside from that, it's a pretty low key hotel/motel. Nothing special about the place that's why it's so cheap, but the location is great. Besides, you really won't be spending much time in your room so no worries.

Exactly what I was thinking....just somewhere to eat, sleep and drink! Thanks for the feedback.
Is it close to the oasis? If you aren't staying at the oasis can you still go to the beach parties there?

No, it's NOT close to the oasis, you will have to take the bus to the Oasis, but it's only about a 10 minute bus ride. Yes, the Oasis offers day passes, so you can still party there, so no worries.

A buddy of mine stayed there 2011, and since them i am placing budget-aware breakers there.

Pretty basic hotel, dont expect much. Just a basic place to eat and sleep...
All incl isnt worth it at all.

Big plus is that they have a really "relaxed" security, so bringing people with you home isnt a big deal.

Busride to the Clubs takes about 5-7 min, to La Isla Mall around 15, and to Oasis 15-20. Small convience store for basic needs is next to the Hotel just at the Pier where the Ferrys to Isla Mujeres leave.

I book this hotel for my budget-aware customers, and noone had any serious issues yet.

If you look for budget traveling, this is the place for you

Thanks so much guys, helped out a lot.
We won't be spending much time in the hotel anyway so went for the cheapest! Haha
It's still 9 months away and already excited. Just hope it's all what it's cracked up to be and more

claire and i stayed there in 2009, it was basic, think 18-30's standard. It was however the best, brilliant party atmosphere. There were a ton of english boys there too, hardly any americans. They have entertainment people there who take you to a different club every night for a good price so make sure to go with them
