I do have to admit that was hilarious how you handled that... I wonder what that guy thought the next day when he looked at his camera, saw NONE of his creepy pictures, and only pics of himself sitting in his own puke...:bowdown::icon_mrgreen:
We have friends that watched a camera "accidentally" get dropped in the pool after a creeper was taking pictures. The husband said oh let take some of my wife for you. The guy said great and handed over the camera. Oops.
For what it's worth, the overabundance of cameras has changed a lot over the years. The first time we went to the resort the sexy pools had more cameras than a Paris Hilton publicity stunt. You would see guys there that looked like Japanese tourists with several cameras and even video cameras. Now you just don't see that many cameras at the sexy pool. I think we only saw one or two there in April. I took my camera but never took any pictures with it. Most people are respectful and TTR has a way of self policing the situation by the guests or security, if needed.
The age old TTR debate. We've had numerous issues with people taking pics. Almost always single guys. On at least 2 occasions they have discovered their cameras don't float! Kath
love my photos i love to take photos of my friends, thats my fav memories captured.. but they are only put in a private online album so no one else has access except myself and friends..,would never dream of putting embarrassing photos on the internet but to be honest i very rarely take my camera to the pool its mainly evenings, for the theme nights etc..artytime: the main problem and issues that the resort tries to stop are of weird people taking photos of strangers without permission..
I usually don't bring a camera. On one of my trips, I thought I'd bring some pics home. Since I'm prone to losing anything without a ringtone, I took a disposable camera. Once I got back, the camera had 2 pics of the resort, 10-12 pics of the Cancun airport on the way home and the remaining 10 pics were of whatever airport I was flying to, just to finish the roll. If your CancunCare group is large enough, expect a few online photo albums. Just ask for access and all the work is done for you
Just an FYI for anyone who may be extra sensitive above their holiday pics on a strangers camera. Although submerging a digital camera under water while the power is on may permanently damage the camera, there's a higher probability it will only cause a temporary short until dried. In either case, water will not erase data from a flash card. The best solutions are 1- remove and seize the card or 2- delete the individual pictures and then fill the card with new pictures to help prevent the deleted pictures from being restored.
We take a camera and snap pics, but only of our friends and have them take pictures of us. When we get back we exchange them all via email or CD. It is great to pull them up every now and then between trips. I have heard of the people on the balcony of their rooms overlooking the sexy pool with the super zoom lens, but have never witnessed it myself.
