Hey yall, my gf and I are currently working on heading to TTR for my 25th and her 27th bday, we missed out last year so hopefully things come along this time. I didnt know where to post this so i figured i post it here. Thanks for your help in advance. 1. Does the resort do any activities or anything for birthdays? 2. Is there a gym facility and is it all machines or also free weights? 3. Is there a 24hr snack bar? 4. Any info on clubbing of the resort? 5. Does the resort carry brand name liquor? (like what you would find in the US/Canada)( i know places in the Caribbean i been carry local or cheap brands) 6. Swimming at night allowed? 7. Is it frowned upon/any trouble if you do sexual activity in public? 8. Any gay/les/bi at the resort or any clubs that cater to that crowed? 9. Random....Where can I find Lucha Wrestling Mask!? 10. What is the Boobs Cruise all about?? 11. Theme nights.... is there a lot of participation? anyway of finding out themes for Sept 21-28th?
Varies by theme and how many people from this board are there... Septemeber themes: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/23473-september-themes-nights.html
1. Does the resort do any activities or anything for birthdays? The resort has daily and nightly activities that you can either join in at the sexy pool, watch them, or go to the quiet pool and ignore them... your choice. For her birthday, you can let the entertainment staff know about it and I'm sure they will do something that she'll never forget. Then make a reservation at one of the specialty restaurants to make it more special. Be sure to stop by the restaurant earlier in the day, at least 3 hours before your dinner, and let them know about her birthday and they will do a cake for you. 2. Is there a gym facility and is it all machines or also free weights? Yes there is a gym on the second floor in Building 1. It has a combination of machines and free weights. 3. Is there a 24hr snack bar? Food is available pretty much all hours of the day.. Breakfast is from 7-11, Lunch 11- 3, Mexican finger foods in PadyO’s from 4 – 6, Dinner 6 – 10, and the world famous hamburgers back in PadyO’s from 10 – 5 AM. Between drinking and eating you can gain about a pound a day without any trouble at all. 4. Any info on clubbing of the resort? Not really a club at the resort.. PadyO’s is their outside bar that has music, both live and DJ depending on the night. They also have shows there and in Nice Shoes. At 10:30 they will run a bus to one of the clubs in the hotel zone each night where they get you in with an open bar bracelet for $35-$50 depending on the club. Or you can hang and drink at PadyO’s which is open till 5 AM. 5. Does the resort carry brand name liquor? (like what you would find in the US/Canada)( i know places in the Caribbean i been carry local or cheap brands) They carry more of the mid range liquors and they also have the cheap stuff. When in doubt, ask for the brand you like and they let you know if they have it or not. Jerks get the cheap stuff no matter what they ask for. 6. Swimming at night allowed? Ocean swimming is frowned upon.. they don’t want folks to drown. They have the Sports pool open 24X7 but it’s not heated and gets a little chilly at night. And there is security there to make sure no one is having sex in the pool. 7. Is it frowned upon/any trouble if you do sexual activity in public? Which leads to this question… the official stance of the hotel is that public sex and nudity is not allow and grounds for immediate removal from the hotel. That’s because those activities are against Mexican law. And while it is an all-inclusive hotel that only guests are allowed at, the beach is technically open to everyone to pass by and lots of folks do. Also at anytime any government official can enter the resort and just on public happenings. So that is why the official stance is what it is. Now nudity is allowed during the entertainment staff sanctioned events. So you will see some. As for other times, well people stretch the privacy barrier of their rooms to include their balconies. So you will from time to time see a show going on. And people do get frisky on the beach and sometimes security will be there to check that the lady on the bottom is there of her own free will and other time to make sure the boss sees them doing their job now and then. They have also been known to stand around a few feet away and take notes till you are done and then come over and tell you not to do that. Rule of thumb.. don’t try stuff during the day, and at night more in the non-public or unoccupied areas, but don’t be surprised if you are asked to stop. And if you are, then do so without making a scene. They remember that and might let you get away with it next time. 8. Any gay/les/bi at the resort or any clubs that cater to that crowed? There will be gay/bi/les at the resort, as there are at any resort. There are gay/les clubs in old town Cancun, but I don’t know about bi. As for hooking up at the resort, pretty much like anywhere else, observe closely and you will see signs of who might be interested. Ask and always remember no means no and no harm no foul for asking. 9. Random....Where can I find Lucha Wrestling Mask!? Pretty much any shopping venue you go to will have somebody selling them. 10. What is the Boobs Cruise all about?? OK, if you are asking about sex in public and gay/les/bi then all I can say is just book it. You will have a great time and be back for more. Let the experience unfold for you like a flower where each thing happening is a new discovery. Don’t ask a lot of questions before you go, just go experience it. It will blow your socks off. And, before you get too worried, as with all things at TTR, your level of participation is strictly up to you and your comfort level. So just book it and go be amazed. 11. Theme nights.... is there a lot of participation? anyway of finding out themes for Sept 21-28th? Theme night participation depends on the crowd that goes. You can generally tell by those posting about the nights. If lots of folks are posting then chances are good that there will be a lot of participation. If not, then not so much. But look over the long haul of the thread.. It’s sometimes hard to keep expressing your excitement over several months. You can also use that rule of thumb to judge which nights are popular and which are not so much. Hope that helped to answer your questions…. Jamie
Jamie- You are like Google, who we refer to as "the ultimate parent who knows everything and never lies to you." Ditto to everything Jamie said, you will not find a more complete, insightful or honest answer...
1. If you tell people you are having a birthday, they'll throw you a party. 2. Mostly machines. Some small dumbells, last time I checked it. 3. No, but you can get a Patyo's burger until I think around 4:30 a.m. 4. You can go any night into Cancun, there's tones of stuff. Again, just ask people if they wanna go when you're there. Happens almost every night. 5. Yes, but some of it is restricted to Premier Membership. 6. Yup. In one of the pools only though. 7. You'll go to jail ... unless you're slick and/or discreet about it. Like us. 8. Quite a few gay couples of both gender pairings show up at TTR and they are cool. 9. Shops in town, off-strip. 10. Go to the thread and watch the video. Basically, lots of people running around on a boat getting fucked-up drunk and naked and loving every minute of it. Party, basically. 11. Try to get it going with people you meet (on here.). Watch for a "September Theme Nights" thread on here. Or, start one yourself. Lilismom started the one for August.
Thanks to all that replied! Truly insightful. Cant wait till september to bring in my bday like never before! I think the whole playing in public thing came across wrong, but it was more so towards playing with some discretion at night with the nice outdoors of mexico Cheers yall, thanks again.....see you in september!
About 10 days till we arrive! I just got two more questions for yall 1. Is it possible to do dinner on the beach? Or maybe have some sort of roses set up in the room? (trying to do something romantic) 2. Any good restaurants close to the resort that are worth checking out?
I know in May they did dinners on the beach for around $50pp. That looked really nice. I wanna say Saturday night. But every night kinda ran into each other. I have only been to Rio, which is good. I know there are great places downtown to eat, but someone else will chime in with more info.
Jamie (as always) gave you great info. A couple more details: 1. If you want an awesome public birthday celebration, make sure the entertainment staff knows it's your birthday. When...not IF...WHEN...you go on the Boobs Cruise, make sure Steve, Chinos, and Omar, the hosts, know it's your birthday. It will be memorable, for sure!:wink3: 2. There is a small but well-kept gym with free weights and weight machines. I don't think there's any cardio equip. It gets hot up there in the afternoons. 4. For clubbing, you need to check out Coco Bongo cOcO bOngO. It blows away anything in Vegas--aerialists, glow stick drops, celeb impersonators--just unbelievable. Temptations staff takes a group from the resort there once or twice each week. Daddy O's and the City are the other popular mega clubs, but they don't have entertainment like Coco Bongo. 8. The resort is very friendly of all preferences, but what you'll see in public is exactly what you'd see from hetero couples--more playful and flirtatious than overt. 9. You can get Lucha masks in any color combo you could dream of at the flea market that's about a 15-20 minute bus ride from the resort! I think we paid $15-$20 each. 10. Boobs Cruise--the most fun you'll ever have in one day. You sail on a gorgeous boat over the amazing Caribbean with a bunch of the most fun people you'll ever meet, snorkel, hang out on Isla Mujeres, play beach games, and probably wind up naked in public and swinging your junk around at the really dumbfounded passengers on other boats. And that's just for starters....:lotsofmichaelfs: 11. Lingerie Night (Thurs.) is by far the most popular "official" theme night. Find or start a roll call thread for your dates--that's where people set up the "unofficial" theme nights like schoolgirl and glow sticks. Then, it kind of depends. In March, half the people at Paty'O's were playing along. In October, very few.
