I'm trying to book a stay and i'm on the Temptations website.. they have a fall promo right now and i'd like to book.. but under "details" for the promos i get this message This promotion will be capacity controlled and the Resort reserves the right to stop sale, change the promotion or return to regular rate. so what does that mean?? i could get there and owe more?
It happened to us once too. Basically if they over book, they are screwed and will try to take it out on suckers
That's how I read it too. Sometimes their English is not very clear. If you do go ahead and book direct with the htoel, please use the cancuncare >>>> Temptation <<<<< link. The price will be the same but it records the site as referrer and pays some commission
no, they cant charge more. it basically means that its a sale and they can end it at anytime. anything paid for and confirmed it 100% cool they say that so people cant complain if they miss the special and try and get the lower rate after it changes. frank
If I were reviewing that clause from a U.S. hotel, I'd be taking it as a bait and switch scam, actually. "Sure, you're booked for thirty bucks a night, ome on down." "Oh, I'm sorry, we returned to the regular rate yesterday. You owe us two grand." Like that.
