I was looking for couples resorts and have been to TTR twice and one site rated TTR at 2 stars. Thinking it was a glitch ,decided to google 2 Star resorts in Cancun. You can read my trip report a few posts down. We did notice some changes since 2008. No a la carte breakfast - too bad we ate at Bellavista for breakfast everytime. Lesser service at the pool - could have been the week. The daytime entertainment seemed less plentiful and less fun - could have been me getting old though. In reality the reno is getting a bit old but we had no specific complaints about cleanliness or quality.
I wouldn't get concerned with that. Google isn't the most precise way of looking up hotels for reviews. Tripadvisor is much more accurate and that's what people search for. Besides if TTR is 2 star then according to this list so is the Hyatt, ME, etc which are supposed to be quite nice.
as long as price is right i dont care and dont give a S... what anybody say, more for us. maybe will get to go 5 times a year insted of 3...AMEN to that
Trip Advisor rates TTR at 39 out of 143 hotels in Cancun. I would say thats a pretty good rating to us. Partying+Making new friends+ Good service= Another TTR reservation for us! Sept.26th - Oct.4th......Trip # 4
Makes no difference to me. As long as at least 1 travel company keeps it on their books, otherwise we'll be booking flight + hotel separately in future!
