What are the do and don'ts of bringing NEWBIES?

When I went for my first time last year it was with a group of 4 others. 2 had already been and the other 2 were first timers like us. All I heard was it was a topless swingers resort and I said 'sign me up!' So I wasn't someone that was hard to convince to go...and as a result maybe I won't have much advice to help convince people to go that are hesitant. I personally did absolutely zero research on it before or after booking. In fact, I didn't even find this site until months after I had gone.

However, I wish I would have found this forum before going so I could have met people here first. I am super shy when it comes to actually meeting new people (even though I love to meet new people), so unless we were approached we didn't talk to anyone. (and we were not approached often. Maybe we looked mean or smelled bad? who knows :icon_cry We kinda just hung out together in our own group. Which was fun but we do that all the time back home and can do that anywhere. I need more stimulation and fun new people or I get bored!

I am hoping next time I go I will be more relaxed and maybe know a few of you first. I think that will help my experience there.

So my advice would be to tell them to get on here. You get a better feel for how it is down here by reading posts. There is so much I want to do/participate in now that I have read about it on the forum. I am really looking forward to my next trip down. And I think it will get them more excited about going if they are reading what everyone else thinks of it.

Ya, it is tough hey - we had such a great time that we have told many friends of our experience while at TTR, but all we do is introduce and provide the information and DO NOT try to convince!! A couple went after we provided the information and did not have the same experience at TTR as we did - they enjoyed their time, but it was just okay and have no plans to return.

I think if your friends do their own research and make their own informed decision to go - hopefully, all parties will have a blast. Either way - if they make the choice to go not based on your promptings, but rather their research it cannot be put back on you both if their experience is less than desirable.

I have to say - TTR really picked us our first time August 2011 ... as a result, once home, we immediately booked another visit for March 2012 and in 4 days we will return for a 3rd time rounding out the year ... Woo Woo! :aktion033:

We brought friends with us after being there about 6 times. Both of us girls were a little apprehensive about being topless in front of each other and each others husbands. We said fuck it and pulled each others suits off. Lol later that week we all went skinny dipping on a super hot night. Lol nothing to be shy about now.

 

If they are those kinds of friends I don't think you'll be having any issues with Temptations. It's a party but probably nothing they haven't been around before and obviously enjoy. Just go there and be yourselves and they'll likely acclimate even faster than you did since they'll be there having fun with you two from the getgo.

 

Yup same here! Now we just meet up with people we already met on previous trips.

 

We have brought friends to TTR twice. Once was soso, and the other time was great. We would love for the second couple to come along again, and we have talked about going somewhere with them and a two other couples. If we do bring a couple along again, I would be absolutely sure that there is no issue with the topless part among the gals. This can be a real drag, and a waste of way too much sunshine until that is resolved.

As crazy as you are, I cannot imagine your friend being apprehensive.

 

In June.....we brought some fairly vanilla friends with us to TTR. They wanted to go with us as they'd heard our reports for a couple years. PJ and I hand planned to go to Desire as we'd kind of outgrown TTR. Frat parties are for college kids....lol.... anyway our friends didn't think they were ready for Desire so we all went to TTR. Everything went fine......they got naughty and when we left Mexico they said they were ready to try Desire......now just a couple months later they are all "we want to go back to Temptations, begging us just one more year. I will not give in. I will not give in. I will not give in....damn it!
