We'll be there in 3 weeks... it's been a long time since I paid for a taxi ride to Playa from the Hotel Zone, anyone have a current rate? The others aren't crazy about taking the public bus, would rather pay the extra and take a cab.
I'll take a guess since no one has answered. I'd guess at about $80. It's about $25 to the airport and extrapolating from there.
It isn't a "public bus" as in the ones in the Hotel Zone. It's a luxury bus that you take from Downtown Cancun and drops you off right on 5th Ave. It's only 40 pesos per person each way... less then $4. BIG difference in price and its comfy has AC and TV.
Yeah the buses are nice, air con, bathroom, Tv's and wifi. No goats or chickens - it's 2012 even in Mexico
We did private transportation with USA Transfers and it was $109 round trip for 2 people. Very organized, convenient, and comfortable.
WOW!!! That's ALOT of $ compared to $8 pp/rt. The ADO buses are in my opinion the ONLY way to go. Even with friends with cars, I rather take the bus.
Thanks Tori, I took your advice and 5 of us used the public bus (ADO) from the main station, it was about $3.60 USD one way and he bus was excellant.
