I'm a hugger too. Not shy by any means, but past trips it's been my x making the first entry into conversations and groups. But, since my lil' contribution to the party is two single women who aren't looking for drama, I'm thinking we should be able to find peeps. I've had the same problem in the past with not recognizing people, so will dig out the orange band I have that was part of my "rainbow" a couple summers ago with that wild group from TX. Hope to find and connect soon- 9/5 is so just around the corner!!!!!!!!

From what I gather the orange band is means your a member of Cancun Care forums. The white one is for alternative lifestyles.
Or they give one out on the Boobs Cruise, I think. We just bought ours with our trips the cruise is mid week.
This is the great thing about the cancuncare bracelets. Very simple. Wear a big bright orange bracelet, and believe me people will approach you and you'll hit it off straight away because you're both on the forum! If you don't have a bracelet, watch out for people who do have one...if you need a few drinks first to build your courage up to talk to them, well it's free so have them! That's how this keeps this forum alive. People meet here already on here, then they give their opinion, then other people join in too!
We are the same way very shy stay to our self but we do like when people talk to us I guess we are not the ones that start the conversation but are happy to continue the conversation
Just a heads up on the N resort- I would read the trip reports carefully. While I do hear it is nice and the service is great, "dull" is the way some hedo friends who went would describe it. Nick (and the excitable Kitty)tm
I usually print the list Steve makes with names, dates and profile pics. I take that along so I know who is arriving and to keep a look out! Sure, not all profile pics are the best for recognizing people, but it's a start! Besides, once you find one, you usually find the rest!
Metman has the right idea. I saw it done on our last trip and then we started to run over and review it. That along with an orange band and you will be talking to others in no time. We are going to print out the ROLL CALL so we see everyone and their image to help us remembber who is who. It is hard enough to remember without the alcohol.
