In the spirit of honesty then, coming from the UK for 2 weeks the best we could get booking 8 months in advance for November was £2,226 for two people for two weeks. That equates to $3,392 US dollars. When you consider what adds up to the flight costs and air miles, I still think we don't do a bad deal. Still, if we lived in the US we'd probably drive down and pay half as much in gas and accommodation!

Alpharooms and Westjet $1,350 for a single for 14 nights.....last year was about $2,200.

Just posted my cost in another post in case it gets buried...is £2,226 for two from Manchester. Let anyone who needs to work that in dollars, and how much it costs in airfare alone!

 

I had gotten the whole 17 day trip for $1950 which is pretty good. I the first couple of years though where I was getting room and airfare for under a 100 a night.

 

We really don't get a bad deal us Brits. That being said, they keep advertising that we could hop over to Spain or Greece for $56 each way.

 

We booked through a TA and pd $2100 for 8 days, flights, ground transfer and insurance with a free room upgrade. Didn't think we did to bad, however with doing the wedding we have guests from other states flying in and found its cheaper to fly from Ohio to cancun than Texas to cancun! Stupid! But over all happy with our price!

 

We were able to get the alpharooms super sale, and then used our air miles for direct flights from Detroit. 10 nts. with air and transfers for 2, $675. (oops, add another $58 for our bags)

yes, i managed to get alpharooms supersale too, got 3 weeks including single supplement for 625 pounds plus 500 pound for thomascook flight london to cancun and transfer.. 200 pound less than what i normally pay for 2 weeks woop woop..think thats about equal to 1600 dollars in total for 3 weeks bargain, thanks to cancuncare xx

 

Drat. The prices from Vancouver went up AGAIN today. I don't get it -- they should be dropping this time of year, not going up.

I'm bummed I missed the Alpharooms deal. I prodded Craig & the guys to book it, and I would have booked it too, but I didn't know at the time whether I was going to be returning to TTR in January for the Miss T grand finale. I wasn't going to do two trips only 5 weeks apart. Now I have neither trip booked! Murphy's Law. :icon_rolleyes:
