We went for our first time in June to TRC and really enjoyed it even with the off season as we walked waaaay down the beach and seen many resorts empty. We are currently planning our second trip for New years. but I have not seen much chatter about it on here and was curious if anyone has any comments advice etc? We have never really done anything special for New Years and are hoping this is our time! :icon_lol:

We went one New Years and had a blast. It's alot of Canadians so an awsome party. The pool is cooler at that time of year and you may want a sweater and possibly pants for night activities but it a great time. TTR really puts on a great dinner and show for New years. Dancing is also until 3:00 pm on New Years and champane at midnight had me throwing up and passing out in the shower the year we went. Go and have fun.
We are going back for our third time. We haven't been there for New Years, but are going to be there this time. I cannot wait to get back down there. I heard they are heating the pool at nights now in the cooler months
NYE at TRC is definitely the way to go. We have done it four times and look forward to doing it again this year. In Dec 2010 I was whining about it being cold & windy as I was sitting by the pool in shorts and a tee. I looked at the IL temps on my phone and it was 3 degrees F at the time, and I quit my whining immediately:icon_lol:
Do they do anything particularly different? We went first week of June which is apparently the down time (couldnt tell) but in the up time is it a different vibe etc?
Big stage show over the sports pool. Champagne toasts, dancers, fireworks, bottle service around pool with prime tables that you could reserve, gals all dressed for NYE in their Cancun dresses, lobster dinners
