The average server/bartender is paid a salary of 58 pesos a day ( roughly $5) for roughly a 12 hour shift and they work 6 days a week. I tried to tip generously and often.
Just say this post and started typing a really nasty reply, but then i decided to not give this ass the satisfaction. We all know that this is BS.
what would you say the best type of currency to take? were from the uk and after reading this thread im wondering weather or not to take dollars but my bank will not guarantee the issue of smaller notes. am i better of waiting and just changing my uk pound in the resort to peso and just tipping in that.
thanks i dnt want be changing my money twice so i think im best just sticking to the pesos. dose anyone know the advarage exchange rate
we didnt do any money exchange the hole time we were there and they like Americain money as much and pasoes. 12 pasoes = $1 Americain there. we tipped most of the time $5 for the places we ate at and sometimes $10. they service is much better when you tip big and they remember you if you come back. most of the time at the pools we tipped $1 and sometimes $2 they are all very nice there and always say hello. if this helps great..
hiya were from the uk always take us dollars . we order £100 of $1 to take for tips. your getting about $152 for £100 at the moment
