I can say I am having this same debate with myself. I got tig ole bitties and they just dont salute the sun like the little ones. I too am not a prude (I'll show ya what Im working with)and I know my other half will be suggesting I take it off. I just dont know. They just get unweidly without some support and I really dont wanna be known as the chick with the stretch marks and saggy boobs. Although I very much looking forward to our vacation. I am dreading being poolside with my top off.
I'm with you. I am very small and even have a little hair (how embarrassing), so I am not comfortable without a top. Now Tonya, she will drop her top in a New York minute!
You just gotta remember the motto for TTR...NOBODY KNOWS YOU AND NOBODY GIVES A SHIT. Seriously, do what you feel you are comfortable with BUT DON'T HAVE ANY REGRETS! You will still have a great time ....no matter what!
Mine are small so I am EXTREMELY shy about putting them out there. I take off the top here and there, mostly when I can keep them under the water line, but with enough drinks, I have been known to walk up to the bar with them out. And I feel like such a rebel when I do. But, I do NOT feel bad about leaving them covered. Its a personal choice.
Girlfriend, you should NOT feel any pressure to take your top off. I keep mine on, tho I'm not sure why...perhaps due to a lingering subconscious sense of inadequacy after growing up as an athletic stick-girl surrounded by a hoard of double-D hourglass figures in my family, and being teased at home and at school for being a late-bloomer. How women feel about their boobs is a complicated thing, given the intense focus on boobs in our society. Nobody has ever bugged me at TTR about not going topless...you will not feel pressured. There's always at least a third of women with their tops on. The Boobs Cruise is another thing: you'll def get pressured on there by Omar and Chinos, but I give up my top and then put on one of the souvenir Cancuncare bandeau tops they sell on the boat for $5. No biggie. I expect that after a couple more trips (and a round of intense psychotherapy lol), I'll be comfortable enough to run around topless all the time instead of just for short stints. But it doesn't matter either way. Having said all this, you may surprise yourself and want to take your top off. Lots of ladies post here about having that experience. TTR is a unique place, and you will find yourself feeling much more comfortable doing things at TTR that you would NEVER consider at any other resort. It's YOUR holiday. Do what makes YOU happy.
I agree if you don't want to don't worry. Everyone wants you to be comfortable and have a great time.
This is making me rethink the Boobs Cruise. I do not like being pressured to do anything. If that is the atmosphere please take us off the list. Diana
Diana, the Boobs Cruise is a highlight of a stay at TTR, and I certainly do not want to put you off the cruise! The pressuring is done in the spirit of fun to see how many bikini tops can be tied to the rigging. Chinos and Omar are sweethearts, and I can assure you that if you have a quick word with Steve in Paty-O's when everyone congregates there before the cruise, Steve will give Chinos and Omar the heads-up to leave you alone. Steve wants everyone to feel comfortable on the boat, and I know he would hate for anyone to "stay home" because they are worried about a situation that can so easily be avoided by a word to Omar and Chinos.
Nobody forces you to remove your top , But there Is a reason they call it a "Boobs Cruise " !! But it's only while on the boat ! Tops are required while on shore for lunch, games and shopping !!
