Looking for some tours to do during the week, snorkeling, zip lines or day trips ect. Thanks in advance!
Well, my advice would be not to plan too much. Once people get to TTR, they find they don't want to leave the resort unless it's for a Boobs Cruise, which gives you an opportunity to see Isla Mujeres. I have heard that Chichen Itza is really great, but very HOT, so you might want to save that tour for a future Cancun trip in a cooler month than September. People also rave about swimming with the dolphins, but that tour is not unique to Cancun.
I have gone on the Coba tour twice - once the full tour with a visit to a Mexican village and a beautiful swim in a centones (fresh water caves) and the second time was an express tour - just Coba. I thought it was worth it! Last January I took my kids on a trip to Isla Passion from the Cozumel port - we had a great trip to the island with unlimited beverages for a package price. The only tour I plan on this trip to TTR is the Boobs Cruise and of course a night out in Cancun with the resort - Coco Bongo, etc.
We have been to Cancun quite a few times and we have always loved the Jungle Tour. You choose to either drive wave runners or speed boats. You drive these to get to the snorkel location. After snorkeling, you drive your vehicle back. It is simple, fun, and quick, you don't want to be stuck away from Temptation for too long. Here is a picture from when we did it quite a while ago:
well if you want to snorkel you can do the jungle tour, you get to ride around in a little James bond type boat or jet ski threw the mango's then out into the ocean to snorkel off the reef. tulum-xel-ha day trip if your into Mayan history, then off to snorkel in a 45 acre natural salt water enclosure. but a swim with the dolphins is a blast. as for zip lines xplor isnt bad.just some tours we have taken.
We are returning for our second time next week. The highlight of our first trip was a day on scooters on Isla Mujeres. Not much to do except ride, sit on the beach and check out iguanas. Beer is cheap and the overall vibe is way more laid back than Cancun - we are planning to do this again.
We did Chichen Itza several years ago. It's pretty cool to see but like matchandahalf said..It was miserable HOT
We don't want to do miserable hot, so we will save the actual tours for a winter vacation. We do want to do Isla Mujeres throw in some wave runners and horse back riding the rest of the time excluding the boob will be spent beach and pool side. Thanks for the help.
I went in April and it was super hot. Good tour, but it does take ALL day with the travel there and back (and hopefully your bus doesn't break down like mine did).
