Is January a good time to do Temptation Resort

Hi we are looking to go the end of January or early Feb., just wondering what the weather is like at that time of year as well as what the resort activities, level of occupancy is like also.
Any advice, suggestions from past travellers is welcomed.

no seriously, anytime that you can get away and make it to TTR is a good time.
are some months better than other??? yes, but the worst week at TTR is usually double the fun of any other resort at its "Peak" time.

We just booked trip #12 for the end of January, couldn't pass up a great deal. Anytime is great, occupancy is never an issue you wil have a blast with low or high!!

 

Do you mind me asking how much your flights were?

 

I see you are from Canada, I will go out on a limb and say the weather will be much warmer in Cancun this January. Although January is the coldest Cancun month, so keep that in mind.

 

The days can be short there too, and the evenings cool.

The pool is sometimes heated.

And the fun is always HOT


my favorite is April,,, Driest and nicest month and great crowds to boot.

Avoid March,, different crowd, unless your into March breakers

 

Ours are packages, hotel and direct flight 7 nights 800 ea plus tax. The big plus was leaving from our local airport 15 min away.

 

Did January for two weeks this year. Weather was nice, but yes, it does get dark fairly early. The hotel felt like it was around 75% full occupancy, and I rather liked that - no queues, got a room we liked, and found it relatively easy to book into the restaurants. We had a few cloudy days, and it felt cold on those days. I imagine later in the year that on the cloudy days it still feels warm.

 

Wow! New Orleans to CUN (connect through Houston) for 5 nights, 2 people = $2249! I have to find a better deal than that!

 

I was in Cancun the last few days of January and first few days of Feb this year. It was windy, cloudy, and rather cool, and then it poured rain for 3 days. Ugh. Me being a skinny chick who is always cold, I personally would not return to Cancun in January, but sometimes the weather IS good in January. It's a bit of a crapshoot that time of year, and that is reflected in the great deals you can pick up (just like you can get great deals during hurricane season). I believe there was a fair bit of rain the first 2 weeks of Feb this year, judging from the trip reports I read. There's a great group of repeaters that goes to TTR the last week of Feb (the Week Eight group)...you might consider then, as the weather is getting more reliable by the end of February. Remember that there is no common area hot tub at TTR unless you are a premier member, so once the sun goes down the day at the Sexy Pool is OVER.
