We usually just start setting $1 and $2 bills aside a couple months before we leave and end up with a nice fat stack by the time our flight leaves.
We usually tip a couple bucks a time when we first hit the sexy pool or swim-up bar, then when we've got the eye contact thing with a tender going, we'll tip that guy $5 or $10, and keep hitting him up while he's working the rest of the trip. As many times as we get refills, it works out. Stacia always tips the room girls at least $5, but she has done as much as $20 if she notices the same girl cleaning our room for the entire stay and she's done a good job -- they almost always are great. I'm not one for towel animals, but Stacia thinks they are cute. I think posing Stacia on the bed naked beside them is cute, myself.
Thanks I love the idea os posing on the bed with the towel animals!!!!! We will enough enough omes and will see if I can get some $2 bills as well
We did $1 and $2 bills as well. On our last day there before our flight left I walked around and tipped those that made our stay a little more special.
Like Stacia and John, we also found a good bartender and tipped him well right off the get go. We made sure we went back to him and he'd have our drinks ready before we got to the bar. We always left a min of $1 for less than adequate service and up to $20 for outstanding service. Use your own judgement
If you've ever been to Temptations you would know that theses guys and gals work there butts off and deserve every dollar tip they get. You can appreciate this in the morning (before you get wasted) by watching the morning staff in the breakfast Buffet lounge running around to make sure you don't run out of coffee. A lot of the staff you see hear at 7 am is the same staff you will see at 7pm ,,, (by then you r wasted so you wont ). Tip ,,before, after,, or not,,, for the most part you will get good service,,, you want excellent service then bring a few dollars bills. Usually a $5 at the beginning of the evening will help them remember what you're drinking,. There a a few buss boys/servers going around,(Patty O,s and pool), tip them well and they will bring you more drinks.,, other wise you will have to get your own at the bar.
Much like the waitstaff in the US, tips make up a major part of the folks incomes. So as someone that has lots of friends there... tip early, tip often and tip large! But as was also said, wiether you tip or not, the service will be outstanding because that is just the type of folks that work there. Jamie
We tipped $1 per drink...(cheap really for a good cocktail)...pretty soon the pool runners were just showing up with our drink of preference without us even having to go get our drinks...and they were really good mixed drinks...not all mixer! We tipped our maid $5 a day...we tipped waiters dependent upon service, and always tipped the cooks when possible. We had heard about the $2 bill thing, but our credit union didn't have any when we got our wad of $1 bills...Fun times and worth every cent!
