This is very naive. I would not recommend this. People who have good jobs do STUPID things that jeapordize them everyday.
Yes, its our first trip. We want to bring a computer because we need to be able to communicate with our kids ages 19 and 16 to make sure they haven't killed each other or had a wild party. It's OUR TURN to have the wild party!! :wink3:
if its naive, we've been doing naive things then for 15 years in 6 countrys in the caribean, as well as canada and the united states. no issues anywhere.... except for the car getting broken into in the united states.
you hit it right on the head. enough beer and you wont even know you have a phone. I get sooo mad at Alysia. She thinks she has to work from Cancun. Im like you are on vacation, put it away
Brought my macbook (15 inch) for music, uploading pics and internet if we needed it to review something. I DJ so it was certainly good to have, plus used it for movies on the plane. That being said it fit in the safe no problem.
You have been lucky, but me personally I would not tempt someone to do something by leaving things of value out in the open. Just sayin. I like to live by the motto "trust in God, but lock your car' Diana
from the different comments ,, you probably figured out not all rooms have the same size safes,, The notebook should be fine,, or just use their computer. You can also get a Gorilla Bag or lock for your laptop.
Been there 10 or so times in about the last 12 years--we've taken our laptop every time--never so much as even hid it in the room. Usually left in plain sight, with our ground floor room poolside unlocked all day--never so much as even had it moved, let alone stolen!! A lot of the same room staff there now as when we started--they value their jobs dearly, and would never risk it for a laptop/camera/valuable!!!
