I was rather amazed the Devils made it through game 4 with a win. They played smarter and it was without a doubt the best game of the series thus far. Winning 3 more in a row? Unlikely, they have my support though. If Marty is to retire this year, I am happy that it didn't end on a blank for the cup. Lets Go Devils! :cool014:
Yeah, didn't see that one coming. Is it me or did some of those shots Quick let in look kind of soft? Maybe after playing at such a high level for so long (the Kings were 15-2 in the playoffs up til that game) a poor performance was not that unexpected as its pretty hard to maintain that high level. Looking forward to tomorrow's game.
Wow! The Devil's finally figured out what to do. Controlling the puck, keeping it int he King's zone, smarter defense. I did not expect the last two games to turn out the way they did. After watching them play last night I think it may be possible for them to win. LA is gonna be tough, 3 in a row is going to tough. If they pull that off however, and bring it back to NJ for game 7 it will no matter what the outcome be an awesome game. :aetsch011::aetsch011::aetsch011::aetsch011::aetsch011:
I will give credit where credit it due. Congrats to the King's and their fans. They won hands down, it was great Hockey and there wasnt any crap in it like with the Ranger's. I am happy the King's won at home rather then in Jersey, and I am happy that the Devil's were not shut out. They gave a strong fight the last couple of games, the better team won. Don't know or think Marty will be back, one of the best hockey players of all time. Now time for football....
It was a great series. A classic that's for sure. You can tell it's almost time for hockey season to start as soon as the Cup is done.
 I like the Wild's free agent acquisitions. Hopefully it'll get them deep in the playoffs next year.
Every one can be an optimist before the season starts. Right now I'll settle for there actually being a hockey season the way the talks are going between the players and the owners.
