I was wondering if the nice shoes bar has strobe lighting. I have epilepsy and strobe lighting is the thing that bothers me most. Kind of bummed that I def can't do coco bongos.
Strobe lights sets off major migraines for me and i have never had an issue with Coco Bongos or Nice shoes ... i don't believe they have strobe lights if i remember correctly but alcohol induced memory loss for most my vacation haha there are disco lighting type stuff i think
No strobe lighting at Nice Shoes. Coco Bongos has a wall of "headlights" that the light up and flash that takes the room from night to mid-day, back to night. So you might need to watch yourself there. Jamie
Have they done anything about the temp in Nice Shoes after the shows? Last yr in Dec. it had to be 100F in there after one of the shows. We love to dance but we had to leave because of the heat. Not that big of a deal because we went to PatyO's and danced there but just wondering.
Our experience with Nice Shoes was not so good. It was really hot in there. The humidity would condense on the walls and ceilings, and then drip on you. If you look up at the ceiling, this has obviously been going on for some time due to the amount of water marks/mold/mildew on the ceiling. This also leads to it not smelling so pleasant. I am glad we went to most of the shows once but next trip, probably will skip most of those and just go to Patty O's. No strobes though to answer your original question
We actually missed a hell of a lot of the shows on our first trip earlier this year. By the time we got into Nice Shoes, the place was packed and only standing room at the back. Being only 5'3 I couldn't see anything anyway, that combined with the heat/humidity/queue for bar, we just headed back to Paty O where the bar was relatively empty. Only one I'm annoyed at missing is Lingerie night.
i don't recall any, but I'm not the one to ask. I do know that the "bar" side doesn't have any. I don't think that Paty-o's does, either. But, maybe some others should confirm for the obvious reason. Hope you get to have a great time!
