My wife and I are on Isla Mujeres now and heading to TTR on Thursday. We are scheduled to be on the cruise this Saturday, but have a bit of a problem. We went on the whale shark tour today (HIGHLY recommended if you have the chance) and in the rough seas my wife started to feel uneasy with the rougher water in the Caribbean (along with several others). Given the bigger boat and being closer to Cancun will she have a problem with being seasick? We both want to go but not if she is going to be queasy the whole time. Do many people have any problems like this on the cruise. I think I know but reassure me, I do not want her to have a bad time out there!!
Not one single person got sick on the two cruises we did in June. There was a lot going on during our cruises so you did not have time to think about sea sickness lol.
I don't get seasick, but I can't walk around on the boat, but still had a great time and will go back in Nov!
I am very prone to motion sickness in cars, small planes, helicopters, on big and small boats, whatever. I've done 3 boobs cruises and taken just Gravol beforehand, and not been remotely seasick (and I was up on the roof of the boat where there is more sway). I do not recall hearing of anyone being seasick on the cruises I attended. If my tummy can handle it, I think just about anyone's could. :biggrinbandit:
Didn't see anyone get sick on our Boobs Cruise last week. Water was smooth. A little hard to do the cupid shuffle but we managed Enjoy!
Taking the Whale Shark Excursion you go much further out into the water than where the Boobs Cruise goes. The Boobs Cruise only goes in between Temptations resort on the mainland and Isla Mujeres not out into the open water. We did the trip to Isla Contoy which gets more out in the open water just like the whale shark trip does and that was much much worse.
I have extreme motion sickness. Last year I took dramamine (non-drowsy) before we went. I highly recommend it. I felt OK on the boat even though I had been plagued by the "curse of the first night". TR
