Do they have any good sushi at Temptations? I don't know if I can go a week w/o it Or possibly in town... anywhere......anywhere?:aktion033:
There was a place down the road from the resort but unfortunately it closed as of 3 months ago. The sushi at the resort is not good at all but after all the resort is not a place to go for fine dining. I have heard that there are two sushi places in the area but I'm not sure of the names or where there located. You might want to ask one of the local cab drivers for there opinion or try one of the higher end resorts in the can in area.
I saw a sushi place at La Isla, a shopping center about 10 minutes from the resort (on a bus) quicker if by taxi. I didnt try it so Im not sure about the quality.
I got sick after eating the smoked salmon starter at the Italian on the resort. Nothing like all out food poisoning, just felt a bit unwell, then had to throw up, but felt fine the next day. Noticed the next day at breakfast that the fresh smoked salmon at the buffet had a disclaimer next to it about the raw food, saying something like 'caution this is raw and could make you unwell so your choice if you eat it'. I know it wasn't from drinking too much because that day we took it slow, and I wasn't sick rest of our holiday, even on days we really hit the booze hard. I just avoided the raw seafood from then on.
The owner of Surfin Burrito is opening a new sushi place called Sushi Hero just down the street from Temptations in front of El Presidente. The photos looked awesome. Should be open soon and it will have delivery. I will post the number and everything as soon as it opens. He just opened El Padrino's Express next door to it. It has brick-oven pizza and pasta.
The resort did set up a sushi station out near the pool one day at lunch. They made it fresh on the spot and was kept iced down pretty good. It really was pretty good. The sushi at the buffet was usually alot of cream cheese type sushi.... They did have wasabi and ginger and soy so it was enough to get us by for a week. No worries your on vacation......:xyxthumbs:
Sushi at the resort is kinda generic. Nothing special but still good for a sushi lover.Temptation has a pretty good food selection and Im sure you will find several things you will like.We certainly never complained about the food.
