Just got done listening to "Boat Drinks" by Jimmy Buffet on my iPod. In this song, which was clearly written in the winter, he wants to escape where he is and head to the islands. A week from Sunday, we arrive at TTR :aktion033: - and to say "I can't wait" is to understate things by about 1000%. Things have been both busy and out of joint at work. The summer has flown by. It's been hotter than hell in Chicago with no relief - to the point where consistently it has been 10 degrees COOLER in Cancun! I wanna go! I don't want to wait another 10 days. I need to get out of here and get to the place that makes me happy. I wanna go where ... ... the biggest sound you hear all day is laughing ... where it's perfectly OK to just be yourself with no one to judge you ... where the sun is shining and the boobs are free! ... where the bartenders know you name, your drink and always have a smile ... where I can sit out late at night looking at the star and enjoying a sea breeze ... where I can dance until my feet hurt, and then dance some more ... where my wife can wear those clothes she never wears at home ... where the biggest decision to make is what drink to order next ... where the kids aren't but the adults act like kids. And that's good. Where no one knows you and no one gives a shit. Share your "I wanna go where ..." thoughts below. See ya in 10 days. RobnStew
Great post. I am jealous. We don't go until Sept 1, second time. how about ... where you can make best friends for life, because they are people just like you. ... where dinner reservations become easy to miss because you don't want to leave the sexy pool. ... where a strange man walks into your room because the front desk gave him the same room key, your naked girl screams, he apologizes and then later at the bar you become good friends
Since we have to wait 7 more months for our first TTR trip, every day I log in to this site, read the latest posts, and think: I want to go where... - I can fill my insulated mug with something other than coffee or water. - I don't have to worry about what I'm going to cook for dinner (or breakfast, or lunch, or snack...) - NO ONE will say "Mama...!" - I can wear sexy outfits that are looked down upon where I live - I can spend some sexy time with my husband and hopefully meet some of the best people in the world who know how to party like you're from new Orleans!
And noone can say "can I borrow $10." or "it's not my night to do the dishes" Nothing like a repressed vixen at Temptations
... where someone will make me an amazing burger at 1:00 AM ... where all the women have "NICE SHOES!"
I wanna go to where the weather suits my clothes and the bartenders don't have to ask if you wanna another drink. 18 days and counting.....
