There is alot of different exercise out there that aren't as hard on the knees. Having fought knee pain since I was 15 I would hate to see you have issues like me. Try the elliptical, alot easier on the knees and you can read while your doiing it. I fought the pain when I ran, keep your knee health and find something that works for you. Racquetball is fun and a great work out too. Running on the threadmill is definitely more comfortable but a little boring.

So let me just say that I'm working out more and more every day. Certainly am feeling the workouts a lot more 5 weeks into this program! And now my support group on facebook has started a planks challenge for this month (note-I hate planks!). But, I'm making them work for me and getting them done! I'll be looking great by Labor Day! Glad to see everyone else is at least tring, that's all that matters, as long as you do a little, you'll get there, look what I a little has done for me!

Great Job Carrie.. Dont worry if we can muster up the energy to go for a run on the beach some mornings lets do that. maybe a few bloody marrys to get ride of the hang over and then off for a 5-10 mile run. Then a quick dip in the ocean. And back to the sexy pool to put all the calories back on with more drinks lol. Anyone is welcome to join us. Carrie get Sam to go if she is up for it.

I agree.. try cycling its low impact and your can burn about 1000 calories in an hour if you can ride at a pace of 16-19mph. That shouldnt be to dificult for most people but even slighty under that 11-14 mpph will still burn 700 + calories. And 3500 negative calories is roughly 1 pound gone.

Yep spin bike and elleptical are all I can really do right now. I am also working a program to incease my strength in my quads and hamstrings. I am isolating my VMO especially as it is the the best quad to help me with my tracking of my patella on my femur. I have worked hard all year requardless of the pain I have been in and it has worked for me. I am just weak again right now as I had surgery so I am back to it and looking forward to another trip in cancun Sept 8-15th. I will be working out there too.

New regime starting this week in preparation for my next trip in just under 4 months. I reckon 4 months is plenty of time to make a nice difference!

4 months is more then enough time to get you feeling the way you want. I have two months left and I started two months ago. I feel great so far! You'll get there!
