We have been sitting here laughing at the different posts on this thread. Looks like humor can come from all age groups! We met friends at TTR that were 10 years older than us as well as 10 years younger. It didn't make one bit of difference. Everyone is there to have a good time. TR (of TRACO)
Thanks to everyone for your feedback. We both really appreciate all of the input. We are looking at booking Sep 23-29 at this point. Our anniversary is actually the 17th but we are both in a wedding on the 22nd so it kinda screwed up our original plans. Getting more and more excited everyday about this trip!
We can say from our experience, we were in a similar position. I wanted to go, Kat was not 100% on it, we BOTH loved it. We met people in their early 20's we met people in their late 60's all having fun. We stayed out until 5am one night 3 or 4 am most other nights, the greatest fear is you will love it too much, that's what happened to us. Just left may 16th going back July 6th til 20th. Advice, "friend" people going the same time as you, you MUST go on a cancuncare Boobs Cruise, not the resort one the one from here. do theme nights go all out jump in on day one, don't waste time talk to people, they don't bite {normally anyway} Just to clarify we are both in our 40's we still like to party
The hotel marketing on travel sites/their website does not do the place justice. They only show smoking-hot young-ish couples in the adverts, but truth be told this isn't the only age group that goes!
Book the trip already!!!! lol Last Nov. was our first trip to TTR and we loved it. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on that trip yes.... I was 9 when we got married. hehe This year we will be there Sept. 22nd - 28th. Steve (the hubster) will turn another year older while at TTR. I came up with 20 different ideas and ways for him to turn the big 5-0 and this is what he chose. Thats how much fun it is. It's not about age or size or race or any of those things. It's about the wonderful people that you meet, having the time of your life and partying your butt off. Hope to see you there!
Ok so here is our next question and maybe we should just start a new thread but we'll try it here first. Is upgrading to the jacuzzi suite worth it or not?
Jacuzzi Room There are "threads" on the Jacuzzi questions if you do a little searching, but in short we would never bother for the cost the resort charges. We also spend very little time in the room. Have been visiting the resort for 6 years, ages in our group have ranged from 23 to 70. The couple from England that were together just shy of 50 years were a blast, we still tell stories about them. The guy won contest after contest.
