Hello all, Just made reservations for Temptations for my wife and I for August 25th thru September 2nd. This is our first time and we're both really excited, however this will be an entirely new experience. I'm 47 and my wife is 44 but we still feel like we're in our thirties. Would love to meet and get to know everyone, any of you planning on being there on the same dates? I've perused the board but am certainly looking for all suggestions to maximize our fun, the common theme on the board is to try and meet people before arrival, so please shout out. Also, what is the participation level on theme nights? I'm trying to get sense on proper wardrobe, so again, any advice would help. Looking forward to hearing from the vetrans. Cheers,
We will be there on the 1st, so by then you will be seasoned veterans. This will be our second trip. The first was one of the best vacations we have ever had. Loads of fun. As you will learn from reading this it is all about the people you meet and letting loose and having fun. We jumped right in and hooked up with people we met on here and new folks we met our first day there. Then when all of our friends left and we had a couple of days to go, I walked up (in the pool) to another group and said our friends all left and we need new friends and you are it! That is all it takes.

I think its up already.. add your name to that and chat with others on that thread that will be there the same time as you. There are 2 differnt kind of theme night,, ones put on by the resort.. in my 6 or 7 times I say not very many particiapte in the resort themes.. Theme night that are set up on here are usually really good participation..I am sure if you have read this board you know about the booze cruise that is put on by ccc (steve).. this is a "do not miss" ..its a blast and you will make lots of friends on it .. age?.. no one cares how old you are.. most people that go to TTR are very young at heart.. lol it is a fun party place for ADULTS, dont take any reviews you read from other sites as truth, go with an open mind and heart and you will become a repeater..:huepfen021: Cheers!!! Edit: lingerie night put on by the resort does have great participation.
Some theme nights are put on by the resort and some are just people who decide to dress up a certain way. The resort ones like white night and lingerie night have more participation, but still only a fraction of the guests participate. At least for lingerie night if you don't participate you can't get in. For lingerie night you will be walking from your room to nice shoes disco so you should be comfortable in what you have on, however, you will see some people in next to nothing. Pretty much anything goes.

Gonna miss you this trip. We arrive the 8th but There is alot of good folks there when you are there. Kim is right, check out the roll calls. have fun and enjoy yourself and welcome to the board.
It really helps if you are recognisable - not sure if people recognised me first, or my husband (long hair thing?), but we were approached by people all the time saying "I recognise you from CCC". Another option is to bring a really memorable t-shirt with a slogan on or such like, and tell people on the roll call you'll be wearing it.
Party Doll, So if I get you correctly, there are private theme parties that are set up hosted by guests at the hotel that are the most fun. Are these usually arranged on the board or you just find them when you're there? What are the most typical private theme's? lingerie, toga, or just wear what ya brought?

Monique started a great theme thread for September and I know there is one around for August, I'll be there with a friend of mine for a few days you are there! It will be my second time, first time was great! I know for the times I'm am going we are trying to put together an 80s night. But other ideas thrown out there are going around. You can wear anything you want, no one makes judgements down there and you'll fit in just fine! See if you can me, I'll get a drink with you guys!
