Yeah - that's your issue then. Sweet sugary drinks, lots of sun, and not a lot of water. We just order 3 drinks with every round and one is a glass of water or iced tea with lime and each drink half.

The deydration really sets while in the pool as you barely realize its hot & you are sweating profusely. Even worse when playing pool sports.

I will also assume your pretty dehydrated when you hit the sack at night and wake up even worse. We are not big people and we managed to outdrink most everyone, started drinking everyday by 11am and ended every night at 3-4am. Use that bottle of water in your room before bed and put half of it down. You'll feel great in the morning after a few Ojo Rojo's or Caesars.

Bacardi diet cola is what I drink and judging by some the pics I've seen of myself it was working. lol No hangover anyday there, I do drink blender drinks (Woo Hoo's) during the day, but switch it at dinner.

We drank alot of Miami Vices during the day at the pool. All the time I spent walking to and from the bathroom told me I was hydrated. Then I realized why, although it is a sweet sugary drink, the majority of it is made up of ice, which I soon realized is made up of mostly water.:brick:

I didn't figure all this out until I got to thinking about during our second trip. Yeah, I'm not a real fast learner.

    More dumb questions.
Everyone keeps talking about tipping. I am new to this. But my sister has gone to several all inclusive resorts and there is a "no tipping "policy at all of them. Why do we tip here?

Also is there a liquor store and a Pharmacy (drug store ) close to the resort. ?

And that leading to, can you bring your own liquor in to the resort?
As I understand there is no room service or liquor in the rooms.

    Thanks

I have only been to a couple all-inclusive resorts and tipping was ok or encouraged. If you talk with the bartenders you will find out that they make almost all their money from tips. This is probably one reason why TTR is much cheaper than other places. You will also get better service if you tip (a few dollars here and there go a long way).

Yes, you can bring your own liquor into the resort. I would buy the liquor at the duty free as soon as you clear customs (it's cheaper and directly on the way). You will have to take a bus or taxi to get to the liquor store.

As to Tequila, you won't get Don Julio, Corazon, or Haradura at TTR.

Likewise, there's no Goose, Syrac or the good flavoried vodkas.

BUT... there is a store close by that you could get some better stuff. And, TTR won't care, since you just saved them money.

Definitely no captain as i prob asked every bartender there for it with no luck, ended up drinking bacardi for my rum drinks. They have a couple different kinds (silver and gold for sure, probably others). As others have said, ask for the band otherwise you get well-brand which is a notch above rut gut.
