Ok..I know it's not the most exciting subject but I know my real life is going to be here when I get home and I HATE coming home with 17 loads of laundry to do...besides I may like a particular outfit so much I want to wear it twice. Is there a laundry room at the resort where I can throw a load in if need be? I assume I can run to Walmart to get detergent.
That's a good question..... we are only taking carry ons so we will either have to do laundry or have the resort do it..... I think I remember someone advising on this forum that there is a washer and dryer behind the little store next to the resort... You would turn left out the front door of the resort and it's hooked onto the property......don't know anything else about it but would like to learn more......:aetsch004:
I was told there used to a Laundry Facility available to guests, however it is no longer available. Dry cleaning is available, I know that isn't what you are looking for though. I'll be honest though, with the humidity, the sand, the alcohol and shanangins, even my "clean" clothes left over needed to washed as everything mingled in the bag on the way back. There is likely a laundromat somewhere local, not sure thats where you want to spend half your day on your vacation.
I have to agree why spend your vacation time doing laundry......:aktion061: I'll just wear my cleanest dirty shirt or buy a new one.......:icon_wink:
Ok. I'm good with my cleanest dirty shirt as long as I don't get to smelling too bad! Maybe someone will let me know if it's unbearable! I agree...I don't particularly want to spend a whole...or even half a day off the resort doing laundry. I'm hoping I will have had enough to drink that I'm unconcerned about the cleanliness of my clothes! I need to try and save at least one semi clean outfit for the plane ride home so as not offend the other passengers. Thanks for the info!
Ask the front desk. They'll tell you name of a place not far away. About a $5 cab ride. Drop it off oin the morning and it'll be done by that evening. They did a great job on our clothes and it was dirt cheap. Sorry I can't remember the name.
Hahha we went out to the club one night, and I danced like there was no tomorrow. I got rather sweaty, and decided I needed to pull an outfit change. Which is rather regular for me, issue being I was downtown. I told my buddies I would be back, when to a store, purchased a new shirt and put my old one in the bag the new one came in. New shirt, nice and dry good to go! Outfit change in the field!
We were there for 2 weeks, so doing laundry was essential for us part way through the trip - we just took some liquid hand-wash detergent with us, and did it in the sink in the bathroom. Hung it over the chairs for an hour or so, and in the heat it was dry in no time! Was good to wash swimming costumes too, as the chlorine does something to it in the water.
Not sure exactly where, or never used it, but when T worked at Temptations, that on her day off she went across the street to do her laundry.
