Sugar leads to dehydration - so just be wary of what you drink and load up on water or iced tea between alcoholic beverages. One gal we met said she drank a glass of water after every shot, so instead of filling up on coke or juice she drank a shot of El Jimador & a glass of water. She kept running out to go pee a lot though......... El Jimador is 100% Agave - the Cuervo Tradicional they have is 100% Agave
Okay, I will give it a shot over the next couple weekends. As it turns out, we have back to back parties coming up. So no mix - just Crown and water or just Patron (it's what I got at the moment) with plenty of water in between drinks. Don't know if I'm man enough for this, but I would love to be hangover free. Thanks for the tips.
I must add... I tip about $20 to bartenders a day if not more...never had a problem getting drunk. I drink vodka while I'm there, Smirnoff is good enough for me when I'm at an all inclusive, so if it's not and you're a grey goose girl, then that might be an issue. I think members get grey goose.
How about Jager and Red Bull (or similar energy drink)? Prepared to bring our own, but no need if it's included.
I'm horrible about drinking water, especially when drinking....that might be quite the challenge, but I'm up for it! ~N
No Jaeger, no energy drinks of any kind. We brought a 4-pack of Dt Red Bull last time for Cherry Bombs.
They sell Red Bull at Patty Os for $5USD. Can run across the street for less but regular only I believe. You can pack your own or make a Wallmart run.
Just wanted to say that we had no problems with the volume of alcohol or the brands. We tipped well, and quite often asked for a 'strong' margarita, or whatever. They do add a lot of ice, so perhaps thats why people think they are watered down. To be honest I can't really see the point in bringing alcohol to an all inclusive resort! But then maybe I'm just happy to drink anything!!
Me too. but I desperately want to avoid the hangover thing. Not only do I feel like shit but the next day I can't even look at alcohol. What happens most of the time is in order to avoid the hangover, I limit my drinking. This strategy has served me well over the years but I would like to relax and have a good time while at Temptations and not worry about the hangover. The other challenge is I like the sweet drinks like cocoa loca and pina colada and rarely drink my alcohol straight or with just water. Everybody needs goals and it is my goal to be a better drinker:daveandmo: All advice is welcome:huh:
I have alot of trouble drinking water also. The last time we were there I brought a selection of powdered flavored drink enhancers (like crystal light) and that helped me to drink a few bottles of water a day. I like sweet drinks too so this helped me get over the taste of the water. This trip we are bringing the Mio liquid flavor things to help stay hydrated.
