iv already booked for next year large deposit paid e.t.c. After a conversation last night with my partner who has been reading the reviews from trip adviser for TTR. Hes not very impressed apparently going of the review on trip adviser that people were having sex in the pool e.t.c which seamed to be abit of a major issue with him. (will he enjoy our holl ) I tried to explain to him that the hotel had a no sex in public rule but he seamed rather unconvinced i think hes under the impression that there is going to be mass orgies!!!!!! Both me and my parter have got good sens of humour and out going ( me more than him) i booked TTR coz i fancied a holiday with a twist with no screaming kids going of some of the storys iv been told off my partner of the lads holls hes been on i was under the impression that he would love it at TTR. Any way after several mins of trying to convince him that some people are just to up tight for there own good and thats the type of person who would of wrought that review. That yes there are women with there boobies out but you get that any ware (he agreed) and that the games around the pool that you dont have to join in if you dont want to even tho after a few days he will be pritty tempted have i got it right impression.
Yes you have the right impression...there are the occassional couple who visit TTR and cannot handle it. I don't understand this, perhaps they wanted a beach trip that was quiet and restful. (TTR does have that at the Quiet Pool), but at the sexy pool there is always an incredibly good time. Sex in the pool is a rarity and will get you in trouble quickly, and it clearly isn't an above the water display. Games may simulate sex, but that is it. Many body types and age groups...so that anyone would ffel comfortable it they are not uptight. This is an adult Spring Break experience and if your man doesn't mind seeing lots of ass and boobs, then he should be more than happy because beautilful people are everywhere (inwardly as well)....Cheers
thank you for that im so glad iv not got it wrong. lol im sure he wont mind looking at boobs and bums. im sure he will get into the swing of things after a day or two last year we when cuba and he said that was way to quite i tell ya i carnt win lol
Welcome to the club!!! I totally agree with what's been said already and can add a few things. My advice to you is to read through some of the other posts here, especially the trip reports. Those of us that have been there several times will post a short, sometimes long, report of our trip once we get home. Normally, its about the same each day - woke up, ate, met friends, drank, ate, met friends, drank and repeat each day. LOL...there may even been a few days left blank because you just aren't sure what you did. And until you experience TTR for yourself and all it has to offer, you won't really understand what its like there. I would recommend that once you are there, get checked in, drop your stuff in your room, put your suits on, hit the pool, grab a drink and introduce yourself to people at the pool. Check the roll call list for the time frame of when you are going to be there, and start to chat with some that are going to be there at the same time and you'll already have friends waiting to meet you. I've been to TTR 14 times and I love it! It's my home away from home and I can't wait to get back there every May to see my Cancun family. Go have fun, relax and enjoy everything it has to offer - you won't regret it!!! Shiela
WOW i see what you mean by family every one seams relay friendly that report was tip top. i relay do hope he loves it and whants to go back iv been wanting to go to TTR for the last few years and now im finaly booked for march next year. i just hope he lets his hair down ( woops just remembered he aint got non lol ) thank you for the help its been a massive weight of my shoulders
Tell him to quit reading trip advisor. We were before our first trip, then we found this site and quickly realized the bad reports on trip advisor had to be from super prudes or other resorts trying to stop TTR from taking there business. This the #1 repeat resort in cancun for a reason. It is not the booze, beach, food or music that makes it great. It is the people who go there that make it the experience of a lifetime, Trust me, go once and you will go back again and again and again......

If it counts, I often use Trip Advisor also but booked this resort based off of a friend's recommendation. Glad I found this forum because even though people will mention their gripes (skip the timeshare presentation) they are also going to give details about the awesome experience at TTR. We are 7 days away from trip 4 in 4 years. When we do want a fun laugh now and then we actually do read the TTR reviews and laugh at them. If you read them carefully sometimes you can find a few written by people who never even went there (my assumptions based on how completely wrong some of the reviews are about specific details). Tell him that he will have a great time and meet a ton of great people. If the games and activities at the pool get to be too much he can always just head to the beach or the quiet pool. Other than some swearing, a few dirty jokes, and brief nudity during the games it really isn't worse than that.
thanks boy and girl. i hope you have a fab next trip wish i was going a little sooner. Im not sure what hes worried about. some of the storys iv heard from when hes been on lads holidays have been quite funky to say the least. Unless hes worried because he dosnt think he should act like that round me lol after 10 years you wouldnt think it would be a issue lol
