Summer CancunCare/Temptation Friends July Reunion

Annette and I invite you to the STL area CancunCare/Temptation friends summer reunion on the July 14th weekend. We have a nice spot at our house that is great for summer pool parties, and would like to host some of the great friends we have met and ones we have not yet met for a weekend of Temptation style fun. Everyone is welcome to join us on Friday July 13th in the afternoon and evening for drinks/food on the grill/fun in the pool, and to meet some of the people you may not know. We live in the country, but have some spare bedrooms plus our travel trailer for overnight guests. There is a Holiday Inn in Alton, if you are not comfortable staying with us.

We will plan to have brunch/drinks on Saturday July 14th at Fast Eddie’s Bonair in Alton, IL. Eddie’s is one of the greatest bars in the world and a must-see if you have not been there. http://www.fasteddiesbonair.com/fr_home.cfm. We don’t want to miss much pool time in the afternoon, and will head back to our house around 1:00 or 2:00 pm. Many of you probably know where Eddie’s is (and have no idea where we live), and this may be a great place to meet up before coming to our house.

Saturday afternoon will be very relaxed. Our house is in the middle of a corn field and our nearest neighbor is ¼ mile away. The gals are welcome to work on their “Temptation” style tan. Zero chance of kids or neighbors interfering with your freedom. The volleyball net will be up and I will be sure to have some tequila ready if a game of NTVB starts up.

Saturday evening will be more of the same. One of our daughters is a chef, and we will have her make something for dinner and to snack on. Bring along any music videos that you want to play on the outdoor TV as the night goes on.

Our house is pretty easy to find, and is just 10 miles from I-255 on the north side of STL. We will be sure to have some marking at the end of our drive so you know when you are there. The STL airport is less than an hour away for anyone that will be flying in.

My friend Rob has taught me a valuable lesson that is to invite everyone to have a great time, but to also ask everyone to leave any “drama” at home, and we do the same for this weekend.

RSVPs are not necessary, but we would like to have some idea if you are coming so we can plan for food and beverages.

 

Wow, this is the sort of thing I was talking about in that other thread. No reason not to have Temptation-style parties at home, is there. Nope, there isn't!

Even if you do have yards-full of Irish Catholic teenage boys on all three sides.

1. Irish people drink. A lot.
2. Catholic people tend to drink. A lot.
3. Catholic younger married/connected people tend to screw. A lot.
4. Teenage boys wish they could screw. A lot.

Should I start a thread to see how many Houston-area people we got on CCC to get our own dealio going?

 

Come on down to STL. Cheap flights to STL from lots of places!

You can count us in! We might not be able to both Friday and Saturday...but we will definitely stop in during the shenanigans!

Working on a babysitter now. Don't want to miss it!
