Steve...if we don't have enough people to secure this cruise, I have a proposal. Offer to divide up the remaining spots needed among the people confirmed. i.e a cruise minimum of 25 people at $70 each ($1750 total). If we have 17 people, that same total is divided among the 17 ($103 each) giving you the minimum, costs us only 30 or so more dollars and we get our cruise! We'll also promise to try had to drink the same amount of booze!

We still have a few weeks to go before we have to call it. I'll need to make the decision on or around 14th June so that people know whether or not the cruise is definitely going ahead before they fly. Sorry, missed this before. Thanks Chris and Susie, appreciate the offer. In practice though it usually doesnt work having tried it before long ago. What happens is the price goes up per couple and a few more people drop out making the price even higher meaning a few more drop out etc etc, and then we get no shows and a small number of people end up paying quite a bit more, for what is essentially less. Example: we go with the proposal based on 17 and two couples drop out due to the price change leaving us 13, we meet on the day and there's another couple who dont show. We're left with 11 people to be scattered over a 57 foot boat that holds 66 and ask them to pay 1750/5.5 = $318 per couple. I honestly couldn't deliver value for money at that price. I like to keep the quality of the day and value for money high, I'd hate for people to pay more and be disappointed because the group was small and the party not so vibrant as it usually is. I know another 'copycat cruise' that recently killed itself off because it didn't deliver what it promised. Lets see how things work out. Hopefully we can get 25 and go as normal.
