    Hey guys we are heading to TTR in July (16-20) and was wondering what is the electrical outlets like? Is it standard as in the US or is it International. Will need to charge lap top and phone while there!! Thanks in advance!

    they are standard like in the US. Or at least they were last year!

    I always bring a short cord with a triple tap on the end,,, the plug is in the Washroom or behind the fridge . Laptop,,i pod cell phone wireless speakers, rechargeable toys,,,,,,,

    hi sorry to hi jack the post a little but what are the pins like?
    are they three pins (two flat with one round) or just to flat?
    im from the uk and it will be making my first trip to TTR next year and iv been trying to suss this out for ages. will i need to bring an power converter thingi

    All of Mexico uses the same standard as the USA/Canada and most everywhere you travel in N & S America uses this same standard.

    Europeans will need an adapter -

    Modern sockets in Mexico are like the one snapperheads posted above. Some older sockets have just the two flat pins and no round pin, most appliances you buy here have just the two flat pins and they still work in a three pin socket. Pretty sure Temptation has modern 3 pin sockets.

    Just buy a travel plug adapter suitable for USA and you'll be fine.

    Bear in mind the voltage is less than the UK, so things like hairdryers without a voltage convertor will run slow.

    The third pin (the rounded one at the bottom) is a ground. It really depends on the type of device you have if there is need for the plug to have one. I haven't been anywhere that doesn't use the North American style plug so I can't really compare, but don't worry if your device only has two pins instead of three. The standard 3 pin socket works either way.
