Wow...so excited to come home from dinner out to see that my CCC friends have been taking care of me and have built me a 13-vote lead going into the last 14 hours of the contest. :aktion033::aktion033::aktion033:

I'm totally floored that Valentina has not posted a single new vote in the last 4.5 hours, but I fully expect she will battle back tomorrow morning. As far as I know from past Miss TTR contests, voting will close about 3 pm Cancun time (1 pm PST), but no one from TTR has advised me when voting actually ends. Maybe they will send an email tomorrow. I would be ecstatic to have 25 more CCC votes before voting closes tomorrow.

I now have a very real chance of winning, but please PLEASE (yes this is grovelling) just pull a few more votes out of your hats in these last few hours to SEAL THE DEAL for me and for Cancuncare. If it wasn't for Steve's website, I never would have left my office and gone to Cancun or TTR, so I consider the real prize to be the honour of joining Sam (Miss TTR January from CCC) in representing CCC at the grand finale next January.

Karen, you have a great lead and I am sure every vote is legitimate. You've worked so hard for this (much like summerbum last month). I was so disappointed/disgusted with it last month I never wanted to participate in this again. That said, I (we) gave you as many votes as we legally could. If you lose this by some mysterious phenomena at the end of this, I will make it my personal endeavor to let Temptation know how much of a farce this contest is in June and encourage all June Junkies to do the same. Still holding out hope that this is above board and you will win! Deep down I always think people do the right thing. -Chris

JUST 5 OR 6 HOURS LEFT IN THIS MARATHON, CANCUNCARE!! Wooo hooo! I held my son last night on his eighth birthday and thought back to how he was only 2 hours old when I hugged him at the same time exactly 8 years ago. It was a powerful moment. I can't wait to switch back to being 100% focused on my family and career and ZERO percent focussed on Miss TTR.

Yes, I'm up 42 votes this morning (wrote in 524 above but it's actually 529), BUT Valentina and I will both mysteriously lose votes during the final tallying, so please don't quit voting now! These contests are never over til the winner is announced, and Valentina may be having her friends hold back votes to do a blitz right before voting closes (although goodness knows where she will get new votes from at this point).

Chris, thank you very much for your message. It means a lot to me that people who have been previously disappointed with this contest have posted to say they are voting, and voting multiple times. If I can pull out the win, I think it will go a long way in restoring confidence in the contest. There have been no sudden additions of 200 votes this month, or hugely inflated final vote totals. I know where 95% of my votes came from, and it was from the flat-out efforts of myself, my family, my colleagues, my neighbours, and most importantly friends like you. I have done everything I could think of to spread the word on Facebook and on Cancun websites, and I truly feel that no potential vote sources were overlooked. Surely this is how the resort intended that the contest be fought.

 

Thank you for making the effort to go back and vote again! Come down with the April Addicts one year...you will love that group and I'd love to meet you, Brian and Dawn.
