There really is nothing you can do. The odds of two contestants being within 10 votes or so every month (besides the odd one or two blowouts throughout the year) regardless of whether the totals are 400 or 1400 are virtually impossible. If you stopped trying to obtain votes altogether, I am sure that you would fall a bit behind and then amazingly and suddenly close the gap too.

Once the resort sees that it's a close contest or that there is a girl leading that they may not want to win for whatever reason, they keep it close so that they can decide who they want. NOBODY on here has any idea how they determine "false votes", so they pick who they want as long as the numbers were close.

When Jenn was in the contest, the same thing was happening, so I recorded votes for 2 straight hours one day when the vote numbers were getting really high and suspicious (I'm a dork, yeah I know).
What happened during that time was that the other girl would get one and only one vote literally every 85-90 seconds for 30 minutes straight while Jenn got zero votes. Then, like a light switch was hit, Jenn would get one vote every 85-90 seconds for 30 minutes straight while the other girl got zero. That was all the proof I needed to know that we had zero control of the outcome.

Bottom line is DON'T STRESS YOURSELF OUT! You have no control over if you win or not. If they want you to win, you will win...and for whatever reason, if they don't, you won't. It's that simple.

We have watched every contest in the last year and as soon as we see that it's not a blowout and the resort is making it a close month, we predict who is going to win the month...

We have not been wrong once.

After seeing this game played for several months, I thought I was ready, knowing that several CCC girls had won only to have the "false" votes removed and some other girl (youngest? biggest boobs?) win.

Yet, we gave it a good effort and were pleased that I was keeping close and votes were at a good, realistic pace...started to think there just might be a chance.

But then we noticed the same suspicious numbers game. I opened 2 computers at work. We'd send a vote for me on computer A...and as soon I'd refresh computer B, I'd get one vote, and another girl would get one simultaneously. It happened way too many times to be a coincidence (I think 15.)

Then, on the 8th night of the 10 days for voting, each girl had about 200 votes at 7:00 pm. When I returned home at 9:30, each girl suddenly had about 400 votes. So, 800 votes were added in a 2 1/2 hour stretch--as many as had voted in the entire prior week? :fish1:

Karen, I was so hoping it would be different for you. It seemed when they changed the number of days to vote and didn't make you post the "wet rat" look they take of you immediately following the contest that maybe they were making changes.

From the pictures, I sincerely believe that you would be the one the resort would want this month anyway. But I am starting to wonder, knowing the history and seeing the weird comments on this thread that do seem to come from a resort employee, what's really going on? Is it possible some of the "contestants" who never appear here or on the other TTR sites are actually models chosen by the resort?

Well, I wanted to see what the response here was to Steve's and my posts last night. If people were in favour of me packing it in, I was prepared to withdraw. However, I was surprised to wake up to supportive messages, and to people being willing to continue voting. Thank you so much. :liebe011:

So I have decided to continue with the photo countdown, and if people would like to continue voting, I would appreciate it. But I am going to disengage myself from the outcome of the contest, wean myself off my addiction to the "refresh" key, and quit badgering you all to vote. I have family and friends that are continuing to vote, and it is probably best to show the resort that I am still trying, so please don't take this post as a direction to quit voting.
