We had 2 baggies full in our carry-ons, but they were double-bagged and security did not rifle thru our bags. You could not smell the booze until you opened the bags. Security is tighter in the U.S. tho. We flew direct from Canada to Mexico.
I did not have a problem either. I had some in both my Carry On and Checked luggage. Security did not question any of them. As Karen said , make sure you double bag them. Although helps keep the smell of alcohol contained, will also keep any leakage from happening to your other stuff.
