Our trip package came with transfers from Best Day Transfers...can anybody tell us anything about them, good or bad, and how long does it take to get to the resort with them...We get in around 11:35 in the am, so the quicker the better!! :ernaehrung015::ernaehrung005:
We've been to Cancun several times, both just as a couple and with the kids (not to Temptation of course!). When we have the whole family we just take a cab. When it has just been the two of us we have taken Best Day more than once. However.... We won't be doing that again. Why? Because we just haven't been smart and taken the dedicated transportation company (can't remember the name) which is mentioned highly on this message board. That is what we plan to do in three weeks when we get here. We have no complaints about Best Day specifically. They have been professional and courteous, etc. The real problem is that you are sharing a van with numerous other couples going to different resorts. Guess which resort is furthest away from the airport? You guessed it. Last time we were here in December we were the 8th and last couple dropped off, and it took 45 minutes. I think it safe to say that spending a bit more money to get dedicated service is worth it. Also, Best Day will also be calling you at the resort (or leaving a note under the door) to inform you that you need to discuss the "very important" departure day instructions. It is just to get you to buy one of their excursion packages. Again, no big complaints. On one of our family trips we actually bought one and had a good time. But as a couple, you want minimal hassle getting to and from the resort, and no bother when there. I recommend dedicated transportation from the airport to the resort.

USA Transfer is the way to go. We've used Best Day and Olympus and didn't care for the whole see us for your departure time. Olympus wasted a good hour of our vacation because of that. USA e-mailed our pick up time before we left stating what time they would pick us up to go to the airport. That was really cool. I think they are very reasonable too. $5.00 more than Olympus.
Yes USA Transfers is the way to go & is what Steve highly reccomends. They are waiting outside the airport when you get there & you are at TTR in 20 min. Cost is only 55.00 (plus tip) round trip which I think is very reasonable. Also if you decide to use them & use the link Steve provides on this page he gets credit.
If it wasn't for Temptation's location, Best Day would be just fine. However, you are very last person to be dropped off at your hotel on the way in, adding an extra hour in the shared van. And going out, you are the very first person picked up, so you have to leave like 2 hours earlier than you would have to with USA Transfers.
