I'm glad this isn't something I've had to deal with. The flexibility of my current job has caused me to stay there for almost 10 years even though there have been more lucrative offers on the table. I always think of the 80/20 rule and apply it to my job.

That is awful to hear. I work with a great group of guys and we bend over backwards to assist each other to get needed time off. I am so thankful that we all help each other out especially over holidays. Wishing you luck.

I am union also and choosing Vacation is by seniority(I have 26yrs) and they cannot deny what is picked. They did play a joke on me once when we used to do Feb,May,Oct. The boss had everyone before me close out every week in Feb,May and Oct. I freaked out:blueshock: Then they all stood around the corner listening to me rant :ranting1:and said Surprise here is the real vacation bid. :icon_redface: Debbie
Sorry to hear about your situation, I am just biding my time until my quarterly bonus, I have a good one due as of this friday, but don't get it until june 1st, I have to stay there working 60-70hours weeks driving500-600 miles doing in home appointments until then. then off we go on a new [ad]venture...
I just put a note on the board at work, right after that my boss put a note on the board saying anyone requesting those dates off better have a signed death certificate or a doctors note. I wonder is there is a licenced Doctor at TTR that can sign the form for me! lol
That sucks... I filed for unenmployment from the lobby when I was down there Oct of 09. Luckily now I only sort of have to answer to 1 person and everybody else reports to me. I find it much easier this way
As of today she still has not approved my leave, I was self employed for years and got burned out and decided to get a job with a normal pay check. I dont make that much money but loved the job until she came. No matter how hard I work it's never good enough maybe the best thing would be to let her fire me!
