Save money by booking early at Temptation

Now I know that every case is different, but we just wanted to share what we tracked for our vacation at Temptation May 4-11. We booked our trip back on November 1, 2011. And at that time, our trip for two cost $2097.32 with airlines and connections we liked as well as ocean view room. It was the lowest cost at any point in time, and that was just over 6 months in advance. We noticed the upward trend started once you got inside a 3-month window, and booking a month out skyrocketed. The trip would cost today, booking just one week out, a staggering $2996.08. That is $1000 more than what it was 6 months ago. I am pretty anal as I charted the whole price fluctuation for the entire 6 months. Here is what the chart looks like:

So if you can plan that far in advance, start tracking prices about 6-7 months out and book early. Hope this helps someone.

Trust me Frank & Jamie, we won't be doing any charting when we're there with you next week. But now we know when to book our yearly May trip from now on. :umbrella1:

You're all very lucky it's costing us $3975 for 2 weeks from the UK. Majority of that is for the flight across Atlantic! Really wish I lived in Canada!

 

we have booked for the same time this year as last year 11sept for 2 weeks and it has gone up £300 but worth every penny
