Does anyone know if the little store at Temptations sells that 5 hr. energy drink? I figure if I drink 4 a day, I'm good for 4 hrs sleep.
Have you used it before? What's in it? Mega-caffeine? Cuz I'm gonna need something too, if I'm gonna keep up...
I didn't notice 5-hr energy at the TTR store last time we were there. It's supposed to only have as much caffeine as a cup of coffee and little or no sugar. I heard it works OK, but never tried it myself. I might have to bring a few down on our next trip.
If you need anything like energy drinks, snacks etc, go buy it from the store over the road, rather than the gift shop. Much cheaper, however, I hear that a quick trip to Walmart in Downtown is even cheaper.
FYI When we booked our USA Transfers ride from airport to TTR, there was an optional add-on to stop at the Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart and its sucky policies and the way it puts small local businesses out of business etc, but if your ethics can take it might be worth it... I'm considering this for my next trip. My holiday deal comes with 'free' transfer from airport to resort, but TTR is the last stop. Took around 40 minutes last time. If I go with USA transfers, I can get the Walmart deal, which'll give me a chance to pick up all the bits and pieces I need, and also I can break into the Pesos too, because the currency exchange here only gives you 100s and 500s, which is a bit much to tip with!
5 hour energy is the sh*t! If you are in the States, buy it at Sam's Club. They have their own knockoff brand of the same thing as well. You can get either one there at a substantial savings. Don't know if Sam's in Cancun carries it?
Great advice! I use 5 hour energy on our long weekend rides usually I drink 2 a day. Average 4-5 hours a night of sleep. And drink pretty heavily, so yes they work and no sugar!
I don't recall seeing it at the Sams. FYI, I couldnt find redbull there either, and I was specifically looking for that.
