first timers here also. bought our for the trip and we both got 20oz. found that I(Scott) had to fill more often but not always a bad thing as we got to meet a ton of fun people and you get to interact with the bartenders more getting to know them better. The more you visit them the faster you get your drinks(as long as you aren't stingy on the tips). Tip em well in the morning, talk to em through the day with a tip here n there of a buck or 2 and a good tip in the evening and they will fill it to the top and make em strong before the others at the bar get their plastic cups made.

All I had to do is hold up the mugs and say "PAPI!!!" or "ooowa ooowa" and he held up 2 finger for the number of drink, went to the side of the bar and grabbed em before the others.

They did stop filling up the large mugs at one time. Some people were going crazy with bringing extra large ones and wanting them filled with the hard stuff. I have one myself but think it is crazy to mix a 45 oz. bourbon and coke since the alcohol does melt the ice and it goes flat. 20 oz. seems just about right.

We brought 700ml (23oz) mugs for alcohol and water bottles. Water bottles came especially in handy when we finally went to bed. The jug of water they left each day wasn't enough I found.
