It can probably happen any time of year that they are full and overbooked. given all the different providers that sell these trips, plus a bit of greed, it makes sense that this happens. TTR isn't the only place it occurs, we just know more about this hotel than many people know about theirs. as for how they pick who gets bumped? No idea  it's probably just luck of the draw. You can't really do anything more than make sure you show up to ensure that you have a room. The desk staff, even if they can seem like asses sometimes, don't do it on purpose. Try to be as reasonable as you can with them and things usually work out, somehow.
Thanks matchandahalf. Definately keep me posted. I will reek havok at the front desk...Im sure I could find someone to take us in for a night cuz this chicky aint leaving the resort for NOTHING lol
Thanks, I agree with what you are saying. Front desk can only do so much No one is gonna rain on this chicks parade tho.... not without a little bribery(cash) :umbrella1:
can someone pls forward me the link I can goto for TTR for correspondance? Id like to stay ontop of this! Thanks
LOL it 'COULD' happen if the bumping thing happens. I understand that it happens but TRUST me, I will NOT be happy... studied Law and this is not impressing me a bit. Fingers crossed, altho we already have possible room buddies for the 1st night if it should happen!!!:icon_lol:
I don't think so. Someone posted awhile back that people in the afternoon were getting bumped, but people that came in later the same day were NOT. I agree that it seems more logical that you would get bumped at night once the day's crop of rooms are filled by people who arrive earlier. But I don't think we can discern any visible pattern to the bumping. It's a crapshoot. Have your travel agent call ahead and lay down the law, and then hope for the best.
Thanks....yes I will def have my agent call...we are only there for 5 days so I would hate to get bumped.
They were probably premier members,, or people who got bumped the previous day which would move them up the line
