Wait, you're from Texas. What do you need to go to a tanning salon for? It's already in the 80s here. Why not just lay out under the sun on your own at home? Do it the natural way!
I burn in a strong flashlight beam, and like to say I'm 3/4 vampire. I've been tanning a month so i might not get a 4th degree sunburn like last year, lol. My pasty white Irish heritage, LOL. Pretanning is a good idea, particularly on parts that don't usually see the sun ;-)
Believe me. I thought of this, but laying out in the sun boors the crap out of me and I never know when to stop. I always seem to lay out too long on one side and end up getting burnt. Like blisters burnt. The tanning place started me out at 6 minutes and says they will work up from there. If it doesn't work I will just write it off as a lesson learned. If it does work then I will still feel like I got snookered, but at least I will be a tan dumbass.:icon_lol:
I just bought a great lotion called PANDORA...its GREAT! It cost me $83.50 and I do believe that if you get the ones that have the BRONZERS in it, it will make all the difference
Me too! I go there and check out what is new and buy it off the internet (usually 1/2 price on ebay) :clappyinghappy:
I was planning to tan a bit before I leave but decided that I am going to be the white Canadian girl at TTR in April.. normally I wear a 40 sunblock anyways so why change now..hahah
I have learnt to wear a 50 or 60 on my arms and face and anything that is out of the water and a 30 on anything in the water. I have had some bad burn in the past even though I always do at least 300 mins. I also put a shirt on between 2-5 pm. The last couple trips I have had no burns and I come home very dark. I usually pay about 60.00 for 350 minutes.
Our weather has been horrible here. There have been a few breaks with some cloud cover but for the most part, we're busy shoveling sunshine. We did manage to take a break from all the shoveling to get a few scantily clad base tan sessions in. We're ready to go on vacation and have someone else do all the shoveling.
Sounds like a great idea....... I have a hat and a bottle of sunscreen and if I remember correctly........ it's shady at the bar.:daveandmo:
