Groups of Under Age Males (Reason Enough for Couples Only)

We were there the same week as Neil and Jo and also are part of their circle of close friends. There were those young idiots who tried to crash our photo op in the lobby and on the night of the pool party with the bbq pig another group of idiots that couldn't handle their liqour were running around being loud,obnoxious and throwing cigarette butts around. One tall guy with a German accent was stumbling around and for some reason through a lit cigarette at a couple lying on one of the beds. I yelled at the idiot and for whatever reason he hauled ass and I didn't see him again. I had every intention of reporting him to the hotel staff but didn't see him again. Assholes don't just come in youth and singles though. There was an older guy (about my age) wearing a green baseball cap that was actually with a woman that thought for whatever reason it was a free lunch about touching and grabbing tits. There were a half dozen guys about ready to kick the shit out of him before he left for just reaching out and grabbing women uninvited. I love coming to the resort and have been fortunate enough to have made some really good friends there. I guess the bottom line is an asshole is an asshole no matter where he is, and a drunk asshole is a drunk asshole. I don't have a problem with singles as long as they aren't in large groups trying to impress each other being stupid.

 

Almost total agreement on that one. I actually travelled there in November with my little brother and 4 of his friends (3 guys, 1 girl). While they may have been drunker than average (one guy in particular) they were all very respectful.

Larger groups of young guys do tend to be more prone to stupidity but it's not mutually exclusive.

 

i agree with alot you say jamie, nobody wants aload of lads ruining your vacation, you get alot of lads and girls going from the uk for lads or lasses holidays, they usually go to ibiza, spain, or the med, but it seems that they are expanding their wings a little, maybe the price they are charging for europe is getting closer to the prices in cancun, i dont know, i expect alot of guys from the us did the same, maybe to somewhere like vegas and cancun ?, but to put an idea out to ban the companys from selling trips to TTR will stop people like ourselves coming to cancun, this is our 7th trip coming up, there are plenty of couples from the uk that come to ttr and have a great time with no trouble, we have met countless amount of friends both american and canadian on our trips,and cant wait to see them again, there are already less and less companys operating in the uk now because of the financial situation, i would'nt want to make ttr couples only, as we have met many great single people both male and female there over the years, steves idea sounds good, but the guys could prob get around that by booking in small groups at the same time, i dont know what the answer is, but trying to ban companys from selling to ttr is wrong, would you ban a company from say new york,who sent aload of lads down, we have had the same problems while holidaying in europe, maybe ttr should try to deter these groups in their advertising.

 

Good points. The biggest thing that the resort has to do is to make sure that they enforce the rules that they do have. When people are checking in they should make sure that they explain, that unwelcome behaviours that affect other guests experiences will not be tolerated. TRANSLATION: Act like a jackass and you're out the front door.

Simply enforcing the basic rules should be more than enough for everyone!

 

I would bet any amount of money that NO ONE enjoys their trip to Temptation more because of a group of males who are 24 or under. Period. They get far to drunk, they tend to be loud and inconsiderate, and worst of all they tend to make the ladies self concious which ruins the entire slant of the resort. I know my wife's first remarks when talking about Temptation is always about how she feels so comfortable because there aren't a bunch of "creepy guys" hanging around. I know this is painting with a broad stroke but there are plenty of resorts catering to the spring break crowd.

Does this mean I don't want singles there? Of coures not, we met several guys and girls there alone or in small groups who were tons of fun. But as a general rule nothing but trouble comes from having 4 or more 20-something guys at the resort. I don't go to adults only resorts to deal with children, and the group in question were certainly behaving like them.

With all that said you pretty much set yourself up for this type of a trip when you go between March 15th and late April due to spring break. The resort is not expensive relative to others in the area and there are topless women, who is shocked that college age boys want to come and get trashed?

In closing I would be firmly in favor of a 25 year old requirement for singles, or a capping of the number allowed in the resort at any one time. But you know the old proverb, one bad apple...

 

Ok why not just have a time alotted for spring breakers.. if you know that a certain time is slotted for breakers go another time.

 

The ban would only be used as a threat... of course someone will have to suffer the threat for other to believe it, but if you don't threaten something like that, they will just blow off TTR.

Trust me, being able to sell TTR is much more profitable than sending one plane load of underage boys at a time.

If I’m not mistaken, there was a company that stopped selling TTR in the UK after the Channel 5 report but is now back selling because of the demand.

So I don’t think in the long run it would impact lovely folks like you from coming over.
