I hear you re the cost and time factor, Monique & Kim. I have already started the intense pre-holiday beautification process by getting my hair highlighted last Sunday. Then wrap, then mani/pedi/lashes, laser hair removal, full-body exfoliation, tanning, and finally a spray tan! The good news is that I have Groupon-type vouchers for most of this stuff. I am going balls-out and getting full lash extensions this time. In December, I just got extensions on the outer corners of my top lashes, and they were not at all flamboyant. This time I am going to be braver, but I'm not getting those big silly butterfly things. Have you tried the extensions before? They are a bit difficult to maintain, as I would forget I had them and rub my eyes, or scrub my face in the shower (obviously the forgetfulness is worse when you are drinking and not getting much sleep!) I had lost half of them after a 7-day vacation. I will have to be a lot more careful this time with the longer lashes, as it will be noticeable if clumps of them get pulled out! Sigh...I was hoping to have someone to compare wrap results with...oh well. I will report here on my wrap on the evening of the 11th (although apparently you continue to see results over the next week).
I'm booked for the wrap on the 9th. What the hell can use all the help I can get ha ha. got hair done.. not sure I like it but Jeff does so thats good.. mani/pedi as soon as possible.. your right this is getting expensive
Yay Deb! Which one is it that you booked? Do you know the name? Make sure you post and let us know how it went before you get on the plane!
Nails done yesterday, hair today. Worked out for the last 4 months! Almost ready!!!! Just sucks that worked out that much and one week at TTR and back to square one! Good thing hubby loves me no matter what!!! We you ladies there.
Did they bug you Karen. I have never had them and I thought well it would be nice not to have to use mascara but I wonder if they would survive a two week drunk with me. Therefore I am still debating on whether I should or not or just buy another great waterproof mascara.
I have had them since November.. they are very finicky and pretty sure they would not last in the pool.. humidity is the enemy.. you have to be fairly careful with them.. cant rub your eyes.. well not like normal anyways.. they are not maintenance free.. they twist and get wonky and poke you in the eye at times.. lol I do love the look, there is nothing like it .. but.. they are work to keep..
Kim is a better one to say, since I only had fairly short ones last time. What I loved was that I didn't even feel them on. But as Kim says, you really have to be careful with them or you'll pull them off, and I definitely didn't like that aspect. I could never handle having them all the time, but I tend to melt eye makeup, so I want to try going without even waterproof mascara in the Cancun heat. Plus I want to look a little glamourous at TTR! You have to use oil-free eye makeup remover, BTW.
Terrific! You might want to take before and after photos of yourself. I def noticed a visible difference to my ass/hips/tummy with my last wrap. I'll be on the plane on the 16th when you are reporting in here, but I will expect you to strip nekked for an inspection once you get to the resort :icon_wink: Do you know which brand of wrap you booked? And where the heck can you get a wrap in a town of 150 people? ha ha ha
