Time once again for another Cancun/Riviera Maya vacation, but this time with the kids. (6 & 8 years old)

We are looking at the Crown Paradise, but would like to know if there are others that offer alot to do for kids?

    Thanks!

Our favourites are Great Parnassus and Riu Cancun. Of the two Great Parnassus would be our No1.

Crown Paradise is cheaper but it's a little run down imho and the food isn't as good as the other two.

What kinds of things can we do with the kids in Cancun? We are trying to decide on a summer holiday with the kids.

Dreams has dolphins you can swim with or just watch. They also have a kids club.

    Hi Steve! :aktion069:

I just looked and I could get the Great Parnassus for a bit less for us and the kids.....a little more for my dad, being in single occupation....

    Can't wait to be there!

Say Hi to Jannet and the kids!

    Thanks ChangoDeMadera!

Cancun is a bit limited for kids if you live here full time, but with a week or two there's plenty of new things to see and do for them.

Waterparks - Sea Adventure for the young ones, Wet and Wild for older.
The Interactive Aquarium at la Isla Mall - with dolphin show
Crococun Zoo - meet and touch crocodiles, snakes, deer and monkeys up close
    Xcaret
Jungle Tour, if your kids are a little older
    Captain Hook cruise
    Day trip to Isla Mujeres

GP is much nicer than Crown Paradise. So, if you can, try for that one.

We often take a third adult along - either the MiL or my Mum. Family rooms have a sectioned off area with a three bed bunk, maybe you could all squeeze in together.

For fun kid stuff, we took them to XCaret, Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres, and Chichén Itzá. We stayed halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen at a resort, and the kids just loved playing in the pool or playing ping-pong right BY the pool. The crafts and "daycare"-like events that the place provided were abundant, but our kids had no interest in any of the things they had to offer. They didn't want to make bead necklaces or other crafty things.

So, I guess it all depends on what your kids are into and how hyper they are.
