Hey everyone! We booked our trip through Expedia and upgraded to an ocean view room. I'm just wondering, what section are the ocean view rooms normally in? I'd love a room by the sexy pool, kinda hoping it's there! 17 days!! Soooo freakin excited!! :headbanger: ~Frances
Some are by the sexy pool but after being moved to Desire and being upgraded to an ocean view room we were told those rooms were only for the members. Eventually we were given a room above Paty'os before requesting a new room a few days later.
It only means you may get a slice veiw of the ocean, best guess you would be by the quiet pool, but you could be by pattyo's which is very quite loud at night, it you dont like your room dont be shy about asking to be moved
We took the advice of several repeat guests and asked to see our room before we took our bags there. Good call because the first room was right outside PatyO's. Ended up on 3rd floor above quiet pool. Slept great and had nice view
Chances are you will be in Building 1 (quiet pool), unless you are a premier member. Here is what your balcony will probably overlook:
Hope you can get one by sexy pool just ask when you get there telling them you paid for oceanview. The ones that overlook the quiet pool say they are oceanview but as the picture above shows it really isn't. I personally don't try for the oceanview since you really don't spend much time in the room since your out with your new friends. If you don't like where they put you just asked to be moved with a real oceanview.
The view was great from that balcony, well worth the extra couple bucks. Excellent room in a great spot in the hotel. And beats the hell out of the view overlooking Paty'O every single night, or checking out the road or a garden every single morning when you wake up. 3rd floor of Building 1 is a great place to be.
Not saying it was bad.....me and some friends had the room it looks like just below that with the large deck that both rooms got to use. Two other times I paid for just a garden room and got the room just to the left of the one you got and the view was great also even though I paid for garden which is usually in the 5000. So I guess they upgraded me with asking....lol. I now usually get room 1115 since it is close to patyo's and even though it looks toward the buffet it is great not to walk up and down stairs plus it is a great people watching patio. You get to say hi to everyone walking by and make new friends...lol
We paid for an ocean view and was given room 2312 overlooking paty O's. As I like my sleep and heading the warning of cancuncare members I asked to be moved to a quieter part of the resort. They were accommodating and gave me numerous rooms to look at in building #1 but the views did not compare to what we already had. Our balcony overlooked the sexy pool with a nice ocean view so we were left with the dilemma....do we sacrifice sleep for a nicer view? We decided to stay and I'm glad we did. Yes....the music was loud late into the night a few nights but after a full day of partying and a few good romps in the sack your body shuts down into a "coma" like state. The loud music was easily slept through and in the morning it was great to look at that beautiful view and start another day in paradise. Also with that room it was a great location as you could go down the steps late at night and grab yourself a quick paty O burger and fries and be back to sleep in 15 minutes. Being able to use your own bathroom was a major plus too. Guess this only confuses you more on what to do???
