Let's see if I understand this correctly. According to the US government we do not have inflation but gas just topped $4 a gallon here and diesel looks like it could hit $5. Going to the grocery store is a $250 experience and a new car decently equiped starts in the $30,000 range.....but there's no inflation, right? Oh yeah, the economy is imporving but we still need this ill concieved "stimulus" of cutting the amount going into social security by a third. Things are getting better, but we still need almost two years of unemployment insurance for some.
twini: Id say all governments lie, worldwide. Sweden hit its highest when it comes to gas, yet we are doing fairly "great" even during the world economy state. I think its part of their job, unfortunately. Have never been in a country where the Govt is 100% honest about anything. Not saying its right(quite the opposite), but its a fact. Sad but true, to sum it up.
Hell no they wouldn't lie. Obama promised he would bring "transparency" to the gov't. Don't you trust him?

Ooo, I like that one Rob. Some of my clients certainly feel that way then they file their tax returns. Sadly I can't go along with their desires on that one.
Let's see.. Obama's "successes" so far... Obama care.. the only thing that has passed since he came ot office and it was the democrat house and senate that voted party lines that passed because they had the majority so the republicans had to "deal with it!" according to Pelosi. Collected a lot of taxes, driven up costs and been in court since then. Withdraw from Iraq... followed the plan set forth by Bush before he left office to withdraw all troops by 12/31/11. Personally killed Osama.. or the impression you get from the press release. Personally out raise all the republicans in donations for the upcoming election.... maybe if he applied that kind of effort into running the government as opposed to photo ops... Wait.. that's it... the hope and change we have been waiting for... Send Obama on the road to keep raising donations, and use those donations to pay down the national debt. All those billionaires that feel they are under taxed will now have an outlet to give their money away.. a democrat fund raiser! It's a Win-Win for everybody. Tax rates are kept low, libs feel great donating to a minority democrat president and the national debt gets paid down! PARTY TIME!!!!!!!! Jamie
Either that or we could get him to stimulate the economy by adding onto TTR and doing a profit sharing with the Mexican Goverment... that would get it going!
