Question on the beds...when we stayed down near Tulum, the place had beds in name only. It was basically like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. If you requested, they brought in a big piece of egg crate foam which wasn't much better. We wondered if the tile floor would have been softer. At least each room had a big hammock on the patio we could sleep in when the splinters from the plywood started poking us too much. How are the beds at TTR?
We found the beds at Temptation to be pretty hard... but definitely not as bad as sleeping on plywood!! We have an extra soft bed at home, so the difference for us was quite noticeable! However.... we were pretty hammered most nights by the time we fell into bed so it was never a big issue for us Frances and Justin
Yes, the beds are hard. Alcohol seems to soften them up to tolerable. I have heard of people requesting the egg crate pads that help some, but we just deal with it.
They are firm but by the time your ready to pass out its not so noticeable..not as soft as our bed at home but not the worst!
Our room had a very nice bed with a pillow top mattress cover. It was one of the best beds we have ever slept on in Cancun.
You're my idol, Carol. The bed I had last December was hard, but tolerable. It was the pillow that was so hard that I will be bringing my own this trip, and I don't even have a bad neck or normally notice the pillows in a hotel. I read a Tripadvisor review in the last month that said that new beds were stackd up in the hallways, in the process of being swapped for the old ones, so hopefully all the rooms are being done. Pillow quality might also depend on whether the ones in your room have been replaced lately.
If need be, I will go to the Wall Mart and get a pillow there. But I might be spending a few nights sleeping poolside. lol
Be careful out there, Brian. Passing out poolside makes you easy prey for the drunken cougars that roam the hotel grounds late at night searching for low hanging fruit...
